Best new micro receiver
Great receivers! With the addition of Sbus capability, I have been replacing all of my D4R receivers with these X4R's and they perform amazingly. Less delay from stick movement to response of my models, and super easy to setup and bind to my Taranis radio. FrSky's X4R-SB receiver features 3 PWM outputs (normal servo) and 1 Sbus port that carries all 16 channels. Plus the exciting new Smart Port and a traditional A2 port are all located on the side port of the receiver. A FrSky FBVS can be connected to the A2 port for simple voltage monitoring. Smaller than the X6R, but still packing 16 channels and the new Smart Port that supports the new hubless digital sensors! Or, connect the new vario, and then connect the old hub to use existing analog sensors. A common question is what can the SBus port do. First off, you can connect it to many flight controllers via a single connection, and now you have access to all 16 channels. Or, you can use something like the FrSky Sbus Decoder, this will allow you to add 4 normal servo outputs (pwm). You can also connect Sbus servos directly to the Sbus line. Just "Y" in as many SBus devices as you need.

S-Bus is very cool.....
S-Bus is the only way to go (at least until the next leap it technology :). 16 channels, faster loop time, great range... Have this installed on my fist FPV quad build, a 210mm. Working great, have telemetry, etc working with my Taranis X9E. Only suggestion is to shrink wrap the antennas with zip tie or straw (to stiffen) BEFORE installing though holes in carbon fiber. Also suggest rounding off sharp edges of holes in carbon fiber (be safe with this though, carbon dust...).... If you don't protect your antennas from the sharp edges of carbon fiber it will cut through the outer jacket, it will short on the carbon fiber and you will lose all connection to your 'copter.... Just a quick tip...

Another wonderful purchase from this seller
Another wonderful purchase from this seller. Received the receiver on time and in new condition. These for me are the best for my 155 and 250 class fpv quads. They are small, light weight, and reliable. I use the smart port for telemetry info and run them in SBUS. I love the built in failsafe in case the other decides to fail...which ive had happen running a naze32 rev 6 and an orangerx 710. Fly aways are no fun. I recommend this for anyone running a frsky tx and need a small diversity receiver on their craft.

Best Rx for 250 style racers!
Love this Rx! With the SBUS connection, and of course compatibility with XJT modules or Taranis X9D Plus Tx's, it's hands down the best, I have bought SEVERAL of these, and they perform great! I highly recommend.

Great receiver, but..
This is by far my favorite receiver to use with my Taranis transmitter. I always de-pin mine and direct solder the wires to make it smaller and lighter. Not much else to say about it, it just works and works well. My only complaint is the newer versions that are being shipped are using a different connector for the antenna cables and I bought a bunch of antenna replacement cables a while back because if you are flying a lot, you will damage the cables over time. I can't use any of those cables I bought on the newer X4R-SB units I've received this week. I can't find replacement cables anywhere for them either. For this reason, I am only giving this 4 stars. If they had kept the antenna connectors the same or documented what the new connector is called or where to get replacement cables, I'd have gladly given this a 5 star review.

Great Rx
This is a great mini-quad Rx where space isn't a big concern. It's not at all huge, but not XM + small either. Full range, telemetry, smart port, sbus, basically everything a FrSky pilot would want.

My BEST receiver by far so far...
Great receiver. I got this to replace the stock Spektrum one that came with my Mojo 230. I was having major fail safe issues with the Spektrum setup. None at all with this one so far and I go out fairly far at times. I use my 230 for a video platform to film other RC planes, freestyle and soon racing hopefully. This receiver has worked flawlessly in each way used. It was a tight fit but it does fit in the small Vortex 230.

Price went up & quality went down
The first couple of these that I bought cost 20$ and worked over a year of daily use. Since the price when up it seams the quality went down. The last couple I bought only lasted a month or so, this one is cutting out after 2 weeks of use.
