Description

  • Make sure this fits by entering your model number.
  • Includes: 1x SparkFun Qwiic Shield for compatible for Arduino Nano. 2x Compatible with Arduino Nano 15-pin Stackable Headers. Microcontroller, wires, and sensors must be purchased separately.
  • The Qwiic connect system allows for easy daisy chaining so long as your devices are on different addresses, you can connect as many Qwiic devices as you would like.
  • Take care to match the markings on the Qwiic Shield to the appropriate pins on your Nano to avoid possibly damaging your boards.
  • The Qwiic Shield has a configurable logic shifting circuit depending on the voltage your Arduino Nano runs at. There is a jumper on the shield to set the IOREF voltage for the logic shifting circuit. The jumper defaults to 3.3V which works fine but you will need to switch the jumper to 5V.

Very useful design

The compact Arduino Nano form factor is very convenient for experimentation and prototyping on a breadboard as well as for incorporating the board into a final project, much more so than the Uno form factor. Unfortunately, the selection of accessory shields or "carriers" is not so large for the Nano.I went looking for a convenient way to attach Qwiic accessories to my Arduino boards, intending to find some sort of breakout. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this product which will allow me to connect them directly to my Nano boards. Better yet, it was made by SparkFun who I have found to make high quality well supported products, and contribute to the Arduino open source ecosystem through their hardware, libraries, and tutorials. It can be plugged on top of the Nano if you have installed female or passthrough headers, or you can plug the Nano on top of the shield if the board has male headers.
