This rope is perfect for my kid. It is a little long but it works, durable too. I really like that the handles have a little weight to them as well so they can feel the rope if that makes sense.

Why would schools carry these if they were not sturdy enough or not effective for the kids? Considering they are long enough for adults, sign me up! Now more getting hit in the head w the heavy handles or having a thick rubber cord wind up. This just moves along with you and gets the job done. I ordered 5! One for everyone and a friend here and they were only a little over a dollar. Like, yes!

This jump rope is just like those at my elementary school, where, close to 30 years ago, I fell in love with jump roping. Now that I have my own kids who got into jump roping, we wanted a rope that we could swing for them to jump with. This has provided us with hours of healthy outdoor entertainment. It spins great, and the lovely clicking sound it makes brings me right back to my favorite moments of gym class. Such a cheap and easy way to keep your family amused and active. The kids also learned different songs and jump counting games. The only real problem was getting them to take turns. For experienced jump ropers, two people might be able to jump at the same time, but it would be a tight fit. Best if only one is in at a time. Note that this rope does not work for a single person to use on their own - it is too big. Requires a minimum of three people.

Works okay but is flimsy in quality. The good thing is that it is quite easy to make the rope shorter. I am 5 feet 10 inches in height and I ended up removing 12 inches of length to make it 8 feet total. And that works well for me. It's a good jump rope for beginners because it makes loud noise when it hits the ground and this lets you work on your coordination, to "hear" when it is time to jump. When I complain about it being flimsy, what I mean is that if the rope got tangled on something else (or if you trip on it) that it would probably rip the cord and that would be the death of this jump rope. I will buy only PVC ropes from now on. Because the beaded ropes are too fragile

I wanted to exercise with a jump rope that was like the ones I used in high school, and this fit the bill. It's got a good weight that will allow you to keep the tempo where you want it. Nobody wants to deal with ropes that are too light and feel like they are fighting the air to complete revolutions at your speed. Good length options, but if you ordered one too long, you can reduce it in intervals around 3 inches.

My 7 year old daughter loves it. She has a very similar one at school.

Having used the product for roughly 10 months on various types of surfaces (e.g., concrete, wooden floors), the plastic tubules wear out and break, specifically those that strike the ground while jumping. The nylon cord is beginning to fray at the contact points with the plastic handles from the continual rotation of the rope. I have had similar ropes break apart at this point, causing the plastic beads to fly everywhere. Through all of this, I still prefer this type of jump rope as one can develop a lot of speed due to the weight of the tubules.

Great skipping rope in that the beads provide a nice weight and clicking sound making it easier to get the rhythm of jumping rope. The green rope is 5’ which is too short for my seven year old granddaughter who is just over 4’ so I’ve ordered the next size up.
