Best Fitbit
I got this for my husband and he absolutely loves, loves, loves it. Everyone he talks to is made aware of how many steps he takes and his goal. The vital signs are always perfect. It's so fun to watch him being aware of his self help.

Durable w/ long-lasting battery
Ok so this watch is actually amazing. Some people may not love the design bc of the thickness of the device itself. Ive bought two of these so far. The first one lasted me 4 years until the charging side of the watch broke off and I couldnt charge it anymore. Something else I love about this watch is you can buy replacement bands for it. This is 100% waterproof. Some days I never take it off. Dishes, shower, swimming, you name it. The battery life lasts about a week or longer. I only use it for the time and counting steps. If you use it for more, it will still last you a few days to a week. It will notify you of text messages but it is not compatible with fb messenger. You cant read your texts or anything like that. But it does vibrate for calls and texts. You dont need a charging cable, you can stick the watch directly in any usb charging port to charge. The watch doesnt have fancy features, it is very simple. There are 4 watch faces. It detects heart rate, blood pressure, sleep, and menstrual. Not complicated and its easy to use. No buttons or swiping, it is tap only.

Great value for a smart watch
Update February 2023. The watch started charging again shortly after my first review. (I suspect user error! 😁). My husband has been tweaking the settings in the online app. Now it shows text messages from his iPhone and tells him when he’s been sitting too long. I’m changing my rating from two stars to four. It’s not perfect, but it’s great for what it can do at the price point. I gave this to my husband for Christmas. He really enjoyed using it—taking his blood pressure, seeing how many steps he walked, being able to wear it when in the water, getting a “trophy” for his daily walking—but suddenly this week it has stopped charging. He normally charged it every week or 10 days. Yesterday he plugged it in and left it all night. It wasn’t charged in the morning. He’s been trying different chargers, but with no luck. So now he has a non-functioning watch, but can’t use it. He’s very disappointed, and I’m sorry that his gift lasted less than 6 months. It was good while it lasted, but 6 months? I’ve seen other reviews saying it won’t charge. If this is a common problem, there should be an option to repair or replace the watch. I wouldn’t feel confident buying another one, for fear it would happen again, but I would pay a small amount to get it repaired.

Well...It's a Watch.
I bought this because I've been participating in serious cardio rehab, having had a major heart attack (triple bypass) nearly ten years ago and a return engagement for placement of three stents earlier this year. I didn't need a ton of bells and whistles - I was only interested in reasonably accurately measuring and accumulating data on steps, heart rate and blood pressure. I quickly learned through experience and further research on these devices in general that none of them seem to be very competent at measuring blood pressure. This one produces a rather flattering reading that essentially remains static no matter what I'm doing or how I'm feeling and has no relationship whatsoever to the readings I get when I simultaneously use a blood pressure cuff. Scratch that. The heart rate actually does seem to be fairly accurate and rises and falls along with my activity. But my primary desire was to have a reliable measure of my steps. Beginning back in August, I've worked my way up to a daily goal of 8,000 steps or more, or roughly four miles a day. The watch seemed to be reasonably accurately tracking and recording my walking activity and that alone would have been enough to keep me satisfied. But... About a week ago I went to log my data and discovered that for some reason it had lost an entire week's worth of data. Zero steps for an entire week. This doesn't just mess up those days, but since the watch purports to track weekly, monthly and even yearly averages it messes that up as well. Rats. Even so, I could still get a fairly accurate measure of my daily steps. Until this morning. I brought up yesterday's activity on the app and discovered it was telling me I had done roughly 4,600 steps. This was surprising because I had quickly checked the watch just before going to bed and had noted that I had put in over seven thousand steps for the day which I knew to be fairly accurate because I do most of my daily walking on an indoor track each morning. Then, looking closer, I discovered that while the app was telling me I had only done 4,600 steps for the day, it also breaks down the daily data hour by hour - and as I mentally added up the steps for each hour I discovered that I did in fact put in over 7,000 steps. In other words, the device is incapable of even adding up its own numbers. Oh well - back to the drawing board. I guess you often get what you pay for. It does seem to function as a watch...if that's what you want. But if you want something more I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Do not buy, not worth it. It barely picks up steps. I honestly am so unmotivated by it! I have owned 3 fitbits before and they broke after 6 months or so, so I thought why not try one half price!? Well if its not even close to counting my steps what is the point! I am a new mom again and have come to terms with pushing a stroller does not count anything, on fitbit it counts as a bike ride which at least is something, but thats fine I can deal with that. But I started to notice my steps were so low all the time. I have tested it on multiple occasions and even done some step counting workouts on YouTube. Today was supposed to do 1000 so I followed the step count and it counted 704. I did another 500 and got to 934. This is me only stepping, purposely swinging my arms and on 1500 steps I get 934? So I have to walk more than 15,000 steps to get the validation to reach 10,000. So disappointing.
