Charlie & The Chocolate Factory [Blu-ray] [2005] [US Import]

I brought this as I refuse to buy the English version, as that don't have the songs also in German for me, but I can't speak for the other Languages, I think Johnny Depp did a great job of it, but Danny Elfman as The Oompa Loompas, was the Real Star of the movie as his workload in production was so much higher than all the other actors, I recommend this movie 100%, it's so well worth the money.

Mr Wonka was creepy a little & looked like he dislikes children and family, not like the original story but still dazzles viewers

I am not a fan of Tim Burton at all, but this film was really good. It is a bit overdone in the scenery as their house is just so over-the-top falling to pieces comparing to the rest of the town, which makes it a bit unreal, but maybe it is meant to be, it could be a subtlety from that Intelligent Man (Burton) that I don't quite get. The actors are very likable and whats-his-name, the one from Pirates of the Carribeans, is very good in it, though my boyfriend thought he was a bit too creepy in his role. Maybe he was, though I should really get the older version of this very film to compare them: I liked this one, and would recommend it. Update: I have watched the older version of this film with Gene Wilder and he is adorable in the role of Mr whatsitsname!! Beautiful film, but both are good really! Oh, isn't Gene Wilder lovely...

I loved this! I'm 15 and my family were given it for Christmas and we all enjoyed it. The colours are amazing and the extra storyline about Willy Wonka is an added bonus. It's pretty similar to the old version but soooo much better as the filming and technology is so much more advanced. The girl who plays Verruca Salts is brilliant but watch out dads your children will start acting like that to you (if you don't understand what I mean watch the film!) Johnny Depp is good as Willy Wonka - very weird as Willy Wonka is supposed to be! Don't let your children down by not buying it for them as every child (and adult ofcourse) will love this. The chocolate factory is an amazing place and the whole film is fun for all!

It doesn’t match the charm of the original, I love Johnny Depp but Gene Wilder was a better Willy Wonka, the original Charlie was more relatable, this one is more like Jesus. The visuals and music and songs are drastically improved though, that’s the best part.

I bought this DVD for a friend who says the remake Burton/Depp version is far superior and he prefers it to the original. Johnny Depp's Wonka is a treat to watch. It was a load of laughs and is just a great movie. The second DVD with all the features tells the story of Dahl and how they trained the squirrels which was interesting to learn and the Oompa-Loompa part was interesting. All round a good movie which he recommends.

Något är fel med denna artikeln hos Amazon, har beställt och fått levererat men kom i simpel Blu-Ray plastskal när det skall vara en Steelbook. Fick ersättningsartikel men då kom det samma simpla Blu-Ray i plastskal istället för Steelbook. Har rapporterat detta till Amazon, tillsvidare avråder jag folk att köpa denna artikel då titeln ljuger om vad det är för produkt man faktiskt får levererat.
