Easy install with included zip-ties. Sturdy. Non-obstructive view. I used a staple gun to attach the edges to wooden posts to cover the gaps between the railing and the exterior wall (see attached image).I wanted to be able to have my Nouveau come outside with me to get some fresh air. But he’s jumped off the patio three times (only 4.5’ off the ground). He’s strictly an indoor cat and is so easily startled by sudden noises or movements so him jumping off all willy-nilly is a no go! I don’t think he realizes how big it is out there! Lol!I decided to try this safety netting and it works great! He’s noticed two small 4” x 4” holes that I haven’t covered but they’re blocked by potted plants and he’s lost interest in that pursuit. He also hasn’t tried to climb it but occasionally thinks about it. He can’t tear it with his claws though I keep them trimmed and he’s tried to bite and tear the edges without success. It’s super sturdy!So I can finally enjoy sitting outside with my fur-baby without having to make sure he’s not about to run off chasing a bird or squirrel. And he loves being outside! I also have a “magic mesh” screen over my patio door so he can easily run inside if he gets spooked.GET IT!!

A little flimsier than expected but I have a toy poodle so it works great. Very easy to install & cut. I have more than enough to put around my apartment patio. A lot of fasteners so it is secure. And it was a good price.

This was easy to install and adjustable which was perfect because I have a weird doorway. The latch is easy to work. Keeps my 11 pound dog out and my fat cats can't get through the bars but smaller cats could. My one cat is an acrobat and can actually jump, balance on the top and hop over but it has lessened the amount of time he's in the space I don't really want him in.

I’m really impressed by this deck shield. I purchased it because I live in a 3rd floor apartment and my 2 cats like to sneak out on the balcony with us. As you can see in the photos, the railings are a few inches wide, so my cats could stick their whole bodies through and look down at the ground below. This was making me nervous, so I started looking for solutions. This deck shield was inexpensive, but does the job well! It was super easy to install and came with everything you could need. I wish it was a little bit taller, but no biggie! I’m very pleased.

We used this as a gate guard to prevent our cats from falling through the balcony rails, YES I'm THAT kind of cat mother... We have two cats and for some reason they LOVE going out on the balcony so much that one of my cats seriously 'begs' to go outside and won't stop meowing until you let him out. They are purely inside cats and we live on the top floor of an apartment building. I'm highly paranoid and know they have both stuck their fronts of their bodies out the rail and I don't think they understand depth perception as well as humans. I'm really afraid they will fall so I've been searching weeks for a good safety gate. I really liked the idea of SMALL squares, smaller than chicken wire but plastic. Lowes and Home Depot didn't seem to have any in stock so I went to Amazon. We bought this one just purely off the picture and really glad we did. It's about 4 feet high which is perfect (I still caught one caught that jumped UP on top of the rail and it scared me). I think the length of the railing was around 18 feet so I think we actually had a couple feet leftover of the fence. We put it up using a staple gun and some black zip ties(both also from Amazon) and it all worked perfectly. We used a little overlay to thoroughly cover the sides and bottom and it's been up for a couple months and seems to be holding up against any weather conditions so far. The material seems pretty durable, very strong and didn't tear very easy. It's even held up against a couple times against the cats trying to catch a couple bugs with their claws, it didn't tear the fence at all. I feel A LOT safer with them outside but still keep an eye on them since one wants to almost jump OVER the whole balcony. So far we really love it, AND you can't really see it from the ground so it doesn't look tacky or weird at all (my husbands worry.)

Fantastic way to let my cats enjoy the balcony! They are older and not climbers or jumpers, so this works great! It gave me a routine with them now that I am working from home. We relax every morning outside for at least an hour before I start my workday. They are always excited to go outside even if it is hot out. Best thing I ever bought for them and they are spoiled!

Surpassed my expectations. I’ve just adopted a 2 year old Yorker mix who loves being on the terrace, but I had all sorts of barricades set up. This arrived Saturday, I put it up on Sunday morning, and it’s exactly what I needed. Keeps him safe, and I still have my view. It also isn’t noticeable,so I’m not breaking any condo rules.I set it up by myself with the ties included. Once I had set up the first 2 ties, it became easier to install, but the top and bottom of the first set was difficult because I had no help. It’s easily installed, getting it straight was my problem, but that’s easier as you go along. It’s great
