Machine polishing freedom
Had a few machine polishers over the years however never a cordless one and my word, it's so much easier to use. The freedom is great, smooth in operation little bit noisy however only at max speed. Couple of fully charged Ryobi batteries and you'll get round a car easily. I single staged the roof, tailgate, bonnet, drivers side wing, door and rear quarter, passenger rear quarter before my 5AH battery died. Completed the rest with my 2AH. Pads that come with this are really good quality also, similar to my Menzerna ones. For the money it's amazing. If you're into car care your paintwork shouldn't need a 2 - 3 correction anyway, which this would struggle to do. Highly recommended for any paintwork enhancement.

Good machine for the money
Bought this as I already have a pod of 2, 4 & 5AH batteries so it made sense to have. For the cost, it is a good machine and does the job just fine. A few things to note before buying….. 1. The throw stalls at low OPM. I found that I had to run it at 7,500 all the time to avoid stalling. On completely flat surfaces, it doesn’t stall so much but as soon as you touch a contour it stalls. It never stopped spinning but it stopping throwing which increases the risk of burning the cars paint. 2. It is quite heavy on batteries. I was using it for a paint correction on a whole Ford Focus MK3. I used 2 x 4AH batteries and 1 x 5AH. I managed to cut and polish the bonnet before a fully charged 4AH battery ran out of juice. I kept 2 batteries charging while 1 was in use so didn’t have issues with running out. If you don’t have any Ryobi batteries or you have lower AH, you may struggle. 3. The supplied pads are not great quality. After around 1/3 of the car, the backing of both the cutting a polish pad came away from the foam which caused me to stop working on it. I ended up forking out £280 to buy the corded Meguire's MT320 which came with 3 Meguire's pads. I completed the car using the corded DA which is superior to the Ryobi unit but you would expect it to be for the price. So I’m summary - make sure you have 3 4 AH (minimum) if you plan on polishing a whole car and but a decent set of pads to use with it. I’m happy with it and will be using it for correcting every now and again but wouldn’t be my go for a full correction.

Value for money.
This ryobi polisher is an excellent upgrade to my car cleaning equipment as I take my car to shows. Used properly it leaves a beautiful finish on the paint work. Extremely good at removing scratches long battery life and great speed control. Great value for the money

Good for small repairs.
Comes with pads which are useful. Good for minor bodywork repairs. Speed control options are a surprising addition. Wouldn't be able to do a whole car on one battery but for small repairs it works well.

Easy to use, Ryobi quality.
Used a couple of times and so far so good. Easy to use and handle. Perfect if you already have Ryobi One products. Managed to get a few light scratches and marks out of the bodywork!

Really well built and balanced. Recommended.
Very good polisher, I mean very good for the money, battery life is a little short unless using a 4ah or above but it really does work well, The pads it comes with are medium quality but the unit itself is a 9/10 and well worth it for any enthusiast or someone not confident with a rotary yet.

Impressed
For my purposes this works just fine as was far better on battery consumption that I feared. I was not looking to achieve multiple stage paint correction. I wanted to apply an all in one polish and sealant, just to bring back some gloss and make a better/easier job than I could by hand. With the car decontaminated and ready to go, working a round the car a panel at a time, swapping pads (purchased some Rupes pads) I was done in around 90 minutes or so and had life left in a single 4Ah battery.
