Used on my Chevy 6.5 keeps transmission nice and cool

So I originally ordered an oil cooler that uses a 'sandwich' type hose connection to the oil filter housing on my 2005 Suburban. It was about a hundred bucks less for a similar sized cooler... problem was the adapter they supplied had the wrong sized threads! After wasting three hours of my time, I couldn't use it. Returned it. Definitely not happy with those Evil guys. Now this cooler came similarly packed but with no instructions so I winged it. With this unit you remove the oil cooler block plate just above the oil filter and attach their adapter there. Now here is a hint for you Tahoe or Suburban or similar Chevy vehicle: If you mount the adapter and then try to attach the two cooler lines, you can only get one hose on because of a protrusion. The trick is just to loosely attach the adapter with a few screw turns and then attach the right angle hose ends to the adapter and then tighten the screws. Don forget to put the included gasket on between the adapter and the block. I used Teflon tape on the fittings. The hoses are fairly long but were about six inches too short for where I wanted to securely mount the cooler. I did manage to mount it up front of the radiator and transmission cooler... See photos. Now it is advised to fill your cooler with oil before starting the car. I didn't do that. I added an extra quart of oil to the engine and then pulled the fuel pump relay and turned the engine over a few times without running the engine. After I did that a few times, I put the relay back in and started the car. After it ran for a few minutes, I stopped the engine and topped off the oil. You will need to make your own brackets to securely mount the cooler. If the lines had been longer, I could have mounted it with no brackets. You will also need to figure out how to route the oil lines yourself. Secure the lines wherever you can with zip ties. They do include a bracket to hold the hoses side by side. If the hoses mount next to the exhaust manifold, they will destruct. If they might rub anywhere, I wrapped she a thing around the hoses to protect them. Everything works fine after installation. I wouldn't want to install another one.

Perfect fit and size for my 16 Silverado. Easy installation. Dropped the fluid temperature by 40°. Very happy with my purchase.

Using this as a trans cooler for my Subaru. Easy enough to install but the plastic holders are junk. I opted for heavy duty zip ties and it's done well.

This is a great kit and at a great price if you know how to make your own brakets. Also the adapter for the "ls engine" said nothing about some ls2 & ls3 being differnt. This is not a universal fitment for the ls engine. I have a 05 GTO with the ls2 front mount oil filter. This does not work. Happy with everything except that. Not entirely their fault but a better description would have helped. Also assembly grease in the lines. They need to be cleaned before use.

Nice product for any vehicle

The hose you have provided is not for transmission it just blows out of oil & temperature of 180f and the oil cooler is too small to lower the working temperature of transmission. So you guys selling wrong things.
