Quick shipping
Replace same model that was 30yrs old with this one, works really well and very easy to install. Thermostat on unit is for estimates only not real accurate.

Had to modify it with a knife to get one wire in
Works excellent. Had to return 3 other brand thermostats that just did not work or did not work properly. Had to cut a bit of plastic to fit a wire. Bad engineering there. But no big deal. 10 seconds to find my razor knife and 5 seconds to trim the plastic. The house was built in 1950. And I suspect the heater is period.

Excellent replacement for a 2 wire heat only Thermostat
It has what it calls a 'heat anticipator' with instructions to set a rotating contact arm from 0.15 to 1.2 amps. This fine-tunes when the thermostat turns off the furnace to prevent overshooting the target temperature. Without it, the room might overshoot the set temperature, leading to temperature swings and inefficient cycling. My zone valve was labeled 0.9 Amps, so that's where I set it and so far, the cycling on/off appears to be spot on. It also has an adjustment screw to adjust the temperature, but it's been accurate out of the box. Easy to install, with 2 entry holes in the left top/bottom of the backing plate and 2 screws marked R & W to accept the 2 wires. Also has a room thermometer that seems fairly accurate compared to a stand alone one I placed next to it. The setting scale and room thermometer are both quite readable with red vertical lines. At a price just north of $25, this is a recommended buy.

So much better than stock
I had a stock one on my trailer that one, did not have temp settings just a sort of general higher lower, guess thing. Second, it was so difficult to turn on I broke one of the wall connections. I asked the service guy at my dealership and he knew EXACTLY what I was talking about as I was NOT the only one with the problem. So, after being frustrated for two seasons, found this online and it is like night and day from a superior product standpoint. I am surprised the company and I'm talking to you Aspen Trail (Dutchmen) didn't have one like this on the unit from the factory. I mean this was inexepensive but substantially higher quality than your stock one, including a real thermometer. With your ability to buy in quantity, you would have to be able to come very close to the bad OEM one on price and have much happier customers...

Simple Operation
This thermostat is 100% mechanical--no electronics to fail. Used on millivolt gas logs--maintains good contacts. Previously had more expensive thermostat with electronics. After relatively limited use the old thermostat failed to make good contact to start the gas logs. No problem with the M30 to this point. From my experience, perfect for millivolt system. One slight limitation, temperature sensitivity is a bit broad. For example set at 70 degrees, expect operation range to be between 68.5 and 71.5. Other than that, quite dependable.

Good when you lose power, but took a lot of our time keeping it working.
Used for free-standing, natural gas, ventless heater in a lower level area of the house. The biggest problem we have had with the thermostat #2 is that it constantly needed to be taken apart to get it working again. We purchased #1 in 2013, then #2 in 2017. We just purchased #3 and hope that the third times' the charm. The first one worked fine for 5 years, second one only lasted 20 months. We know they're warranted for 3 years, but who has the time to go through all that for $18?

Works perfectly
This unit is perfect for hydronic heating systems because it allows adjustment of the temperature swing. Digital thermostats are too accurate and cause short cycling of your furnace to hold the exact set temperature.
