Go beyond of just simply repeating steps of someone else's choreography. Understand the creation process and learn some tips for creating your own future choreographies. Iana Komarnytska together with a guest musician and historian George Sawa invite you to explore the art of belly dance choreography on the example of a dance piece to the song "Lamma Bada Yatathanna". The first part of the DVD consists of a mini-lecture on the history and meaning of the song, teaching choreography with explanations of Iana?s choreographic choices, and demonstration of the choreography. The second part of the DVD includes performances in various styles, such as Turkish Roma, Modern Persian, Taksim improvisation, Drum Solo and Triple Isis wings.
