Great quality tape!
I've rated this product 5 stars for the following reasons: + This is good quality tape. + It's thick and high quality. + It is definitely waterproof as it lasts multiple showers. + Each application lasts a long time. I've left this tape on for 3-5 days. + The adhesion is fantastic! + I got the bright pink colour and it's perfect! + Even my doctor asked where I got it...twice! + It helps alleviate my pain and stress on my back. + It's the standard length and width of most tapes out there. Some are longer but not many. I love this tape. I like that the price is really low and it is totally worth it. It lasts for days and days through showers, workouts, outfit changes, etc. I use an H shape on my back and it really helps prevent any extra stress and pain. --------- If you found this review helpful in any way, please click the 'Yes' button below. I don't receive any compensation for helpful votes, but it REALLY helps and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Diamond's Star Rating System: 1 STAR - Completely unusable, would request a refund 2 STAR - Meets minimum viable product requirements, wouldn't purchase it again 3 STAR - It does what it should, but in a non-spectacular way, I may recommend it, but definitely with reservations 4 STAR - I like it. It is solid quality and delivers as advertised, I would purchase it again and recommend it to a friend 5 STAR - I love it. It meets or exceeds all of my expectations and is high quality, I would purchase it again and would openly promote it to friends ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great for preventing diastasis recti in pregnancy
I wanted to get this tape to prevent diastasis recti (I'm 5 months pregnant) and to help support my belly from the bottom where it was beginning to round out. The night the tape arrived I began to put it on and three days later it's still stayed on. On the second day I began to feel itchy under the tape but I just rubbed away the itching sensation with the pads of my fingertips. I did notice a difference with this tape as opposed to not wearing it. Whenever I would get up from my bed with the tape, I really did feel like the tape was keeping my abdominals together. It felt pretty much how I felt getting up from the bed before I was pregnant, normal. Also the the strip of tape I placed to support my belly helped tremendously as well. I took it off this morning and yes it's a little bit of work to get off but I'm glad that the tape is of great quality and stays for a while. I'm confident that it would've lasted another day or so on, but since I was itching a lot I took it off. I used soap and water in the bathtub for the majority of it but some of it was really stuck on so I used my belly oil for the rest. There was a lot of redness right after I took it off but it's been 2 hours since and the redness is completely gone. Overall I would recommend this tape, and I will continue to purchase it once I run put of the one I have now. I really do believe that kinesiology tape can help prevent diastasis recti so I would encourage all pregnant women to at least give it a try!

Comes Off Easily in Water & When Contacting Other Surface Materials
I'm going to preface this by saying if you are dealing with a new injury, you should chat with your doctor about what you're doing and planning on using this with. This is one of those "do what I say and not what I do" moments. Because I know sometimes life doesn't give you the best choices, and you have to make do and make it through regardless of what is going on with you, I do think this *can* be a useful product. I purchased it because my Achilles tendon is pretty much junk. The last surgeon who worked on it told me I should take up swimming. Hopefully you're a better listener then I am ;) But anyways, life handed me a set of circumstances I can't really get around- namely, an amazing special needs son who has extensive care needs that requires strength training to provide the best support for. Then my daughter said she wanted me to do a 5K with her, and there is no way I could tell her I wouldn't. Because if I take risks for him, I have to take risks for her, I just do the best I can to moderate them, which is I'm sure why you're interested in this product as well. So the 5K training is actually what I purchased this product for, but I have tried it for many different uses in and out of water over the past couple of weeks and I have some things I want to pass on. First off, this doesn't adhere terribly well over contoured areas, and it can come off pretty easily in water. I cleaned off the areas it would be applied to, scrubbing them down with alcohol even before I apply the tape. I have made sure to follow typical KT application protocol for Achilles tendonitis. It stays on well enough if you're wearing a sock over it, but the edges can roll up if edges of your leggings or socks rub up against them. Today I did strength training bare foot with this stuff, and it was rolling up on the part that was on the under side of my foot just from catching on flooring. I have taken it into the pool to do therapy work with my son, and it was most of the way off and totally flopping off my foot by the time I was out...and I wear a full body swim suite that has an ankle strap, so it was even supported and protected a bit from the drag of the water against it as I moved. It will make it mostly through a shower, but enough of it will be peeling off that I will just finish the job because it's of little use at that point. When we first started the 5K training, my motto for her was we are training you to complete not compete, so we started just walking a mile, then walking 2, so I wasn't seeing heavy impact, and I did notice that it did help my tendon feel less cranky afterwards. Now that we are up to interval training for her where we jog a little bit and then walk a bit, I'm noticing that it does keep it from being as cranky as it would be without it for that activity. Because I forgot to put some on before my job last night, and let's just say my tendon woke up this morning feeling like an angry toddler. Now, from what I've looked at, studies don't really support the therapeutic benefits of this, some researchers ascribe the benefits to the placebo effect, but...you know, pain is always subjective and that really makes it hard to I think provide any sort of meaningful analysis, just my opinion on that though. Because the type of people who use this product successfully are probably the "soldier through it" types that would grit their teeth and get it done regardless. I personally felt like it did add an extra bit of support and relief while it stayed on, but I have yet to make it through a single day without it coming off before the day is done. Some activities hasten the demise of it considerably. So I don't have experience with other brands of Kinesiology Tape to compare this to, all I can say is that in my experience, this comes up easier with things rubbing up against it, it doesn't stick well to some curved areas, it comes off really easy in pool water, and it may not make it through your shower or your bath. But I do feel like when I'm using it for the 5K training stuff my ankle is noticeably less grumpy afterwards, and that's mainly what I wanted it for, but I do think it's not enduring as well as this type of product is marketed to generally. And again, yes, I know I shouldn't be jogging with my Achilles tendonitis, but chances are you shouldn't be doing whatever you're doing either, so we'll just cut each other some slack because we both know we're doing the best we can with what we've got to work with. Just heads up on the coming off bit for this tape...

Can't live without this amazing tape!
Great product that sticks well, great customer service, fast shipping and the best price! I have used multiple rolls of this tape on my shoulder. I have to have surgery this fall, but in the meantime this tape is amazing. I tape up my whole shoulder and wear it for 4-5 days at a time. It is actually comfortable in that it reduces my pain immensely and allows me to do the daily small farm and vineyard chores I need to get done each day! My husband also uses it on his knee (runner's knee issues) and our vineyard manager has also taken to wearing it on his aching shoulder with great results! We call it the magic tape because it works small miracles! I would not have been able to get through the summer with out it! Highly recommend you try it ~ you'll be amazed too! While the are a lot of tapes out there, given the price and customer service of this brand they keep me coming back for more! Glue does not irritate, sticks well (just make sure your skin is clean ~ no lotions or oils on it ) and it removes easily in the shower. It has been a lifesaver for me!

Exceeded expectations
Very good product. I am a fan of synthetic tape and this cotton based tape exceeded my expectations. I thought I'd experiment with the cotton based tape thinking it may be a bit more supportive. Not sure "supportive" is the right word but it certainly performed equal to or even better than the synthetic. The adhesive is very good without tearing at the skin. This is important since I've been wearing tape almost 24-7 lately. The adhesive also stuck perfectly to overlapping tape - better than the synthetic. The tape remained flat and did not shred along the edges at all even though I wear it for 3 days. I was concerned the cotton would be wetter for longer post shower. Well, it was, but I found patting it dry with a towel and, since I shower at the gym 90% of the time, I used the hand dryer for no more than 2 minutes to completely dry the tape. Perfect. I should mention I use kinesiology tape for only a long term knee issue (so far) and, when properly applied it is amazingly effective. Nothing I've used, including a $149.00 knee support brace has come close to the relief I've experienced. Funny thing about how it worked for me - I made an appointment with my osteopath to be sure the tape application technique was exactly what I personally needed. (He applied the tape and showed me a YouTube video that mirrored his application as a guide if needed.) After leaving his office I had reason to walk about 1.5 miles doing some errands and I could feel a comfortable change taking place in my knee.

Mixed Review -- depends on your needs
UPDATE AT BOTTOM Well, I have mixed feelings about this tape. Overall if you don’t want to read everything, it works, there are better brands you can get from the drugstore that are a tiny bit more expensive, don’t waste your $ on the expensive and wasteful KT strips, taping is a lifesaver, this isn’t the best for sweaty areas, but it’s a good value for the money. ORIGINAL REVIEW First of all, I have arthritis which hit me really hard in both feet. I'm young-ish (36), I'm a teacher, and I have a bunch of kids, so I REALLY need my feet to be in good shape! I tried absolutely everything from insoles to compression socks. My podiatrist taught me how to tape my feet which I thought was ridiculous at the time. However, it actually helped. I ran out (not really) and bought medical tape and spray-on adhesive. THAT was a total waste of more money! Within a couple hours, I sweated right through it, and it was so not worth the 30-45 minutes it took to wrap them with traditional tape and adhesive! Then, my brilliant husband found sports tape and kept bugging me until I bought some from the corner drug store (also at WM). I’m not talking about this brand yet. It wasn’t the most expensive brand—I found those KT strips very limiting and wasteful—and I prefer the roll, so I can measure the lengths myself. I've never been so happy! It took literally half the time and can stay on for a couple days if I don't shower (again, not this brand, but one from the drugstore). So, I came across this brand on Amazon and decided it was worth a shot. The reviews were decent enough, and it was a couple dollars cheaper than the other kind I use. It also came with some small tension bands which are cute, useful, and of good quality (but wasteful if you repeatedly order). Overall, it was a good deal. Everything seemed pretty much the same, initially, until my feet started to sweat. It didn't come off completely, but felt a little looser than the other stuff. This was a little more thin. But this tape was easier to take off if that's a concern for you (using it on hairy or sensitive places), or if sweating isn’t an issue. So, If you're not going to sweat through it, it's a good deal, and there are many color choices, although I really don’t care about that at all. But for sweaty areas, there are better products that are a little more expensive, but worth it for me (especially since it stays on so long). This will be my back-up roll. UPDATE Ok, so somehow, my feet just stopped hurting at some point, after dealing with it daily for about 3 years. Just stopped, and I’m soooo grateful!!! It wasn’t your normal foot pain, like plantar fasciitis, it was something else both structural and neurological no dr ever got to the bottom of, so if you can relate, TAPE YOUR FEET!!!!! It works!!!! Anyway, as I mentioned, it’s not my go to product, but I STILL do find it useful on occasion: One day, I could hardly walk (feet not an issue at the time) because I had a Charlie horse in my calf. I watched a video on how to tape for this concern (and there are TONS of videos for any part of your body you can imagine), and since my calves don’t really sweat, this stuff worked perfectly! I could walk fine, and I had forgotten how much I loved having tape as an option! So, I always have a roll of this or another brand at home and work. So, still, while this quality isn’t quite as good as the drugstore tape, it’s still good enough to get the job done, and you save a few bucks. My opinion on taping overall: YESSSSS!!!!!! It has saved me! I used to spend countless hours, countless mornings taping both feet, but it allowed me to actually walk! Lifesaver! And this IS a more affordable option that will work. It’s just not as thick, long-lasting, or sweat-proof. I hope that helps you both with taping in general and this specific brand.

Comparable to KT and you can cut your own length
I bought the $7 red to test it out. It is very comparable to KT tape, just slightly less expensive for the typical cost ($10). Adhesive seems to be solid just like KT. It has about 80% of the stretch of KT, so it is slightly firmer. I don't see how that would have much impact other than needing to use a touch more of the Physix for the same length of stretch. However, the one thing I definitely like better than KT is that it just comes in a roll vs. precut. This way you will waste less overall as you don't always need a full strip. Cutting 80% off a full strip leaves you a 20% strip you'd likely not use, so it would go to waste. Once I get a full 9 innings in with this on my arm for pronator, and knee for IT I'll amend my review if it turns out to work poorly. As of now though it looks to be a solid purchase and I'm sure I'll buy some more. They do give you a free e-book on how to use the tape, and since it's free I won't harp on it too much. It uses broad terms, so it's really hard to know what applies to what. There are only a few specific references to issues. It is free however, so once you know where to tape you can reference it for other options. Better off going to YouTube and going to the KT tape or rock tape channels. Physix has a channel, but it's only for selling you stuff, not showing you how to use it (hint hint Physix...) In summary, I'll still be buying the tape as it seems to be solid quality and I like that I can cut what I need and not waste what I don't.

I bought and now I'm sold.
I bought this tape out of a minor sense of desperation. After bilateral Acheilies tendon repairs, getting some relief from plantar fasciitis in both feet from shoe inserts, my remaining hurdle for an upcoming 10K was shin splints in both legs. I'm not sure if I should be down from my list of physical woes or be proud of my symmetry. After researching my list of options to help get me through my 10K, which I'm determined to finish (it has a predetermined time by which the course must be completed) with some quick walking, I decided taping was a viable and quick thing to try. After researching tape, I found Physix Gear Sport. I have suffered with shin splint flair ups since I was 18 years old. I am now 61 and had my Acheilies repaired in 2014. The years leading up to the surgeries left me fairly idle with resultant weight gain. So walking is a joy for me and a necessity to try to return to some state of better health. Now that you have some history you might have some sort of perspective for my review. Once the tape arrived, I took what YouTube advice I had and taped both legs for shin splints for the outer portion on the shins. I had recently aggravated both legs but need to keep up training for the upcoming 10K. I wore the tape for two days without training so that I could give some support to the muscles while they rested. On the third day, I did 2.44 miles in 31 minutes. I had a mild warming in the right shin but I had no pain in either leg. NO PAIN. I consider this a personal victory and attributed to the Physix Gear Sport tape. I have no doubt that both legs would have flaired up again without it. I am totally satisfied with the performance of the tape, especially given my minimal knowledge of how to effectively tape. YouTube and this tape will make my 10K completion possible. The tape was worn for three days and I showered with it. It adhered and performed flawlessly. I have a mild topical-adhesive reaction and, after three days, one small area reacted. It was an area smaller than a dime and it was the only area with all the tape that I used. Totally acceptable, in my book. I'll just apply it for use and remove it afterward. Easy peesy. I'm so happy to have bought this tape because now I'm sold.
