So was very easy to install and setup. It does not turn on the window defroster or anything, but I found that I just leave the settings and tempature on the controls and it will use those. Today was the first cool morning and I started my car from inside the house and when I got in it was heated and warm already. I am very pleased.

I installed on my own in an hour. I took my time and needed a weird socket to loosen a piece because I have big hands and couldn't connect without seeing. It works great and I can start my car through a window from 50 ft away every time.

This thing is a game changer! I got this for my daughter for Christmas. Easy to install, took me about 20 minutes. Great brand i wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Matter of fact I told a lady at work about it and she bought one and had me install it on her son's car!

Overall I’m very happy with it. I’ve used it a few times already and it’s awesome having remote start. Definitely better than paying 400+ for a professional install. The only thing that was tough was getting the plug out of the back of my OBD/gateway module thing and getting the T-harness plug back into the gateway module. Make sure you have your car in a place where you can leave it for a few hours if you get frustrated messing with the plugs and need a rest. If you bend any pins in the plugs you could really mess up the car’s electronics so be careful.

No issues with it. Works as described. Once properly installed, just hit lock, unlock, lock on your car key (wait a couple seconds between each press) to start your car. Installation and programming took a little patience, but was not too difficult. Just read and follow the instructions carefully. Notes: - Remote start will NOT work if your check-engine light is on, so check this first. This is a function built into your car. - You need to be within range of your door lock/unlock (typically in line of sight so you can see your car lights flash). If you can hit your lock and see your lights flash then this remote start will work from that range. - When getting in your car after a remote start be sure to put the key in ignition and turn to On before pressing the brake. Pressing the brake first will cause the car to shut off.

I was happy to find a remote start option that didn't require an additional remote and the price is so good, it made me wish I had looked sooner. Like with many other reviews, unplugging the plug on the back of the OBD2 was the trickiest part. It helped me to look at the release button on the male plug end of the Start X harness to get an idea of what needs to be pushed and then be patient. I had it within 5 minutes, even with big hands/fingers. The rest was just as described in the instructions and I had it all configured and working in another 5 minutes. I did remove the panel right under the steering wheel, which helped both with manipulating the plug with my other hand when plugging the harness into the back of the OBD plug and also visualizing a spot to put the device once configured.

For starters it seems to work beautifully so far. But don't bother trying to get the port unscrewed from under the dash. The 7mm screw is too long to actually remove which would have been nice to know. The 8mm comes out just like in the video but I spent some time until I realized it wasn't going to happen with the 7mm. Even with my big hands I was able to unhook the harness with the port in place. Just had to look at the new harness to figure out the clip is on the bottom. Programing was easy. Everything fit in the space available. Can't wait to start using it. Oh and the other thing I always hated about my 2018 Fusion was you couldn't warm it up with the doors locked and this system leaves the doors locked while it warms.

Was quoted $600 to install a simular device. Watched a video, followed the instructions in the box and about 10 minutes later it was installed and programed. Works great, operates like it came with the car.

The starter does work as expected on a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The lights do come on after starting. Install was easy. Managed to remove plug without undoing the nuts for the OBDC connection (the air bag was blocking the 2nd nut - was going to grind away some plastic, but it wasn't necessary). The setup worked as the instructions and video showed (was a link to video on the box). Will remain to be seen how long this will last, but overall satisfied for the price and zero installation cost.

Find a video for your vehicle and follow the directions. It was a little awkward getting under the dash but pretty easy overall, just make sure to watch a video for your specific vehicle as location varies. I bought the specific one for my Ford Fusion installed it myself and works great. Whatever distance that you can unlock your car is the distance from which you can start your car.
