No, there is no razor. It is a comb and spacer system to help you get the length of the hair correct and even, but you still need to use scissors.

I had long hair and cut it short by myself with this tool. It will help with getting an even cut as long as you want it to be the lengths in the kit.

Q: Can someone tell me what the comb guards are equivalent to clipper guards in size wise? For example the 1/2 is 0.6cm so is that a #2 clipper guard?

My clipper guards have all that information. You have to turn them to get the proper lighting on the markings, but the guard has the #, and it will also state how many inches (or fractions of an inch) that particular guard is. I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but I've hidden my clippers from myself, and my CombPal is in the same case. Time to tear the house apart, now, before my next haircut is due!
