Updated Review:I've had this helmet for two years now (to the day! 🤯) and can report that it's a super solid helmet. I temporarily misplaced my "go to" Smith helmet last season and had to use this one for many sessions. It didn't disappoint. If you're looking for "pro"-level gear, you're probably willing to shell out TWICE as much cash for a much fancier helmet. Nevertheless, for the price, I think this helmet is a solid performer, so I'm updating my rating to 5 stars. Well done, Wildhorn. Looking forward to seeing what else you guys come up with!Original Review:I've lost track of how many helmets I have. I have helmets for all sorts of different activities; even multiple helmets for the same kind of activity! I'm by no means a helmet expert, but I think I can notice certain things that set a helmet apart from others. This is a solid mid-range helmet. It's definitely not in the same category as Smith or other high-end helmets, but if you don't want to pay $100+ for a helmet, this is a solid pick.Pros:Super lightweight (don't underestimate how important this is! If a helmet is too heavy/uncomfortable to wear, you just won't wear it!)Fits well (I was between sizes and sized up so I can wear a thin beanie underneath for warmth)Ear pieces cover my ears (will be nice on cold days) without being too tightVent, strap, and goggle holder are easy to operate, probably even with gloves on (untested as it's still OCTOBER :) )AffordableCons:Packaging is a little flimsy (not a big deal; it's a helmet, after all, and it ships in a beefy Amazon box anyway)Rear adjustment knob is a little loose - time will tell if the knob becomes loose after a day of riding. If it does, tightening it up takes all of five seconds.Materials seem like a little bit of a step down from high end helmets (to be expected at this price point)High end helmets have fancier safety features (like MIPS) that this one doesn't have.At the end of the day, this is a solid mid-range helmet. Great if you're trying to get some protection without breaking the bank and don't ski/board super aggressively.

Our family has been very pleased with our Wildhorn Drift Snowboard & Ski Helmets. We have a mix of helmet brands on the slopes this year (Smith, Giro, Bolle & Uvex) and just added 3 Wildhorn Drift helmets into the mix. We purchased a Small, Medium and Large of the Drift's and each is comparable in size/fit to our other brands. The colors all look great, we have a white, green and grey.We have worn the helmets in a variety of conditions this year and they are plenty warm when the vent is closed and have solid airflow when open. After purchasing the Wildhorn Roca Ski Goggles, I got this helmet to have a matching and seamless set. The helmet is nicely crafted and well-padded, obviously some care was put into the design and the price is right! Compared to more 'well-known' manufacturers, this helmet has features only available in others' $120+ models (such as adjustable vents).Unfortunately for me, as I now know, I have a "long oval" head and this helmet (size Large) is too round for me. My head measures the right circumference, but the helmet just doesn't work. Since nowhere in the product description does it currently discuss head shape and the product isn't available in most (any?) retail stores, it would be nice to see some text to this regard.

At the end of last season I knew it was time for new snow gear for this upcoming snowboard season. I was so excited to find this helmet online for such a great price. I have spent double that amount in the past for helmets of equal qaulity. This might end up being my favorite helmet yet though!I’m so impressed by the quality of this helmet. It even has the ability to further adjust the size inside the helmet from a simple system in the back of the helmet. It is light weight but seems extremely sturdy. The exterior design is super simple and sleek. I decided the grey would best match my other snow gear this year and it looks awesome. I would recommend following the sizing chart and measuring your head first. I am a 5’7” female and ended up feeling like the medium was the best fit for me. So just waiting for the snow to really hit the mountains so I can wear this on the slopes!

I have been skiing for years and never had a helmet (I grew up in the age when we didn't wear them). My kids have helmets so I decided I should really get one. I love how comfortable and lightweight this helmet is! Even the strap is cushioned and comfortable. It feels easy to wear and am looking forward to wearing it this season! I ordered the navy blue and I really like the matte finish color.

I am a long time snowboarder/skier but my wife is just venturing into the world of snow sports. I wanted to find a helmet that would work well for her and this Drift snowboard is perfect. We measured her head according to their sizing chart and it fits like a glove. I love the fact that the air vents are adjustable for different temperatures and climates. Can't wait to get on the slopes this season and put it to use!

The good: Nice and lightweight, slim profile and seems very sturdy, able to hear pretty clearly. Comfortable enough to wear all day.The bad: Not as well padded/insulated as the Smith helmets. The large wasn't quite big enough for me to fit a toque underneath (I'm pretty big guy at 6'4) so head was a bit cold (at -20C) unless wearing my hood.

Helmet fits perfectly, good quality for the price and super, SUPER light. It's also stylish and not too bulky. I'm happy with it. In the box came a slip to redeem a free carrying bag for the helmet...however, no way to receive it unless you live in the US. Bummer!

Very strong, strudy helmet, built well. You can tell why they are the official supplier for Ski USA.Only bummer part is that I am a Canadian, so even though they shipped to me, there is a paper-insert promo for a free helmet bag. You have to visit the manufacturer's website (Wild Outfitters) for this but then it subsequently says the helmet bag is only for Americans :-(...little false hope.

I was really pleased with this helmet, wasn't sure what to expect but it is great! Really happy with it.
