I Purchased this coffee because I love lavazza for its quality, strength and lack of bitterness and after taste. However with this decaf coffee it is definitely very mellow. Obviously it’s a decaf coffee and it is not as robust as normal coffee as it says on the packet. but this is much more mellow than others I have tried. Personally I didn’t register that it had a strength number of 3. If I had I would not have purchased this. But if you love mellow great tasting coffee then this is the one for you. But again it is still a great tasting Italian coffee.

I'm pretty experienced when it comes to coffee, having tried numerous beans. Decaffeinated coffee can be a little harder to find, well the nice stuff anyway. For months I used a well known brand from a coffee direct company however, I fancied a change and ordered this one. I didn't really read the size of the bag, expecting it to be the "standard" size so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and see the large pack. It is very good value for money. As usual, the delivery service was on time and came as stated in the next day. The coffee itself is very smooth and velvety and produces a nice espresso. You can taste the freshness and it smells divine. I'd say it is a medium strength. Very happy with this coffee.

Hoping for better. Lavazza is normally great, but the decaf has that strange decaf taste you sometimes get. Price was good when ordering. Not sure I’d recommend, but worth trying if you don’t mind the distinct decaf overtones.

Ich trinke seit Jahren regelmäßig entkoffeinierten Kaffee und habe mich durch viele Marken getestet. Oft fehlte mir dabei das volle Aroma oder es blieb ein unangenehmer Nachgeschmack. Der entkoffeinierte Kaffee von Lavazza hat mich dagegen wirklich positiv überrascht. Aroma & Geschmack: Schon beim Öffnen der Packung kommt ein angenehm runder, nussiger Duft entgegen – nichts „Dünnes“ oder „Verbranntes“, wie es bei entkoffeinierten Sorten leider häufig vorkommt. Im Geschmack zeigt er sich mild, aber trotzdem aromatisch. Keine Bitterkeit, kein wässriger Eindruck. Besonders angenehm finde ich die leicht schokoladige Note, die ihn auch pur als Americano sehr gut trinkbar macht. Crema & Konsistenz: Ich nutze eine Siebträgermaschine und mahle die Bohnen immer frisch. So entwickelt der Kaffee eine schöne, stabile Crema und zeigt ein volles Aroma, das für einen entkoffeinierten Kaffee wirklich beeindruckend ist. Die Bohnen lassen sich gut mahlen, verstopfen nicht und reagieren recht „verzeihend“ auf kleine Mahlgrad-Abweichungen. Verträglichkeit: Da ich täglich mehrere Tassen trinke, ist mir Verträglichkeit besonders wichtig. Dieser Kaffee ist sehr magenfreundlich und verursacht kein „flaues“ Gefühl. Dass Lavazza auf ein schonendes Entkoffeinierungsverfahren setzt, merkt man sowohl im Geschmack als auch im Körpergefühl – kein Nebengeschmack, nichts Chemisches. Einsatz im Alltag: Für Espresso, Americano oder Cappuccino funktioniert der Kaffee hervorragend. Ich trinke ihn mittlerweile täglich, vor allem am Nachmittag oder Abend, wenn ich auf Koffein verzichten möchte, aber trotzdem nicht auf guten Geschmack. Fazit: Ein sehr gelungener entkoffeinierter Kaffee, der geschmacklich erstaunlich nahe an koffeinhaltigen Bohnen ist. Für alle, die häufig zu „Decaf“ greifen oder am Abend nicht auf Genuss verzichten möchten, eine klare Empfehlung. Preis-Leistung passt – ich kaufe ihn definitiv wieder.

If you like, or need, to drink decaf coffee, this one is decaffeinated using a natural method (water). It’s the only decaf I would drink. And thanks to Amazon, it’s brought right to the door at a very good price.

Lubię kawę, a muszę ograniczać kofeinę. Bezkofeinowa Lavazza jest raczej przeciętna w smaku (mocna, ale słaby aromat), mało kwasowa, trochę za mocno upalona, gorzka. Trudno jednak wśród kaw bezkofeinowych znaleźć naprawdę dobrą, więc nie spodziewałem się cudów. Być może kupię ją znów, jeśli nie znajdę nic lepszego. Update [2024-08-21]: kolejna dostawa Lavazzy pozytywnie mnie zaskoczyła. Tym razem kawa była mniej upalona i mniej gorzka. Jak widać, w zależności od daty wypalania, jakość jest trochę lepsza lub gorsza.

Even though I must have water decaffeinated coffee (for health reasons) I still like my coffee really strong. I am now on about my 15th bag of this coffee as it is an excellent strong flavoured coffee (rich coffee and chocolate notes for my pallet) with a great brewed smell. I have it black, a single shot (ground in a Breville auto mill, grind size 6), through my coffee machine and then I add 300mill boiling water. There are only a three water decaffeinated coffee beans I have found with adequate strength and this is one of them. There are more brands that also taste ok but I would need a double shot as they are not strong. I sometimes mix this one with a few other coffee bean brands to make up a slightly different flavour. If you need to stick to decaffeinated beans then I highly recommend you try this one. It's also decaffeinated buy the water method (instead of chemicals).
