How much better is this compared to the previous vg27aq (155hz model)?

The VG27AQ isn't a "previous model", these are two separate models that are both still being manufactured and offered by ASUS - the VG27AQ features a more advanced IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel whereas the lower priced VG27BQ has what is considered to be an older, lesser technology, a TN (Twisted Nematic) panel that generally has lower quality color reproduction and restricted viewing angles. The benefit of a TN is a faster response time and less smearing, but the newer IPS panels have much better response times than the first few generations. So technically, this monitor is considered to be a step-down in quality, more of a budget monitor than the other one, although both provide excellent value for their feature set. Is the included display port cable capable of running the monitor 1440p @ 165/170 Hz?

The included dp cable works fine for me. Looks real nice with HDR and I’m still able to get 170fps on COD Warzone. I honestly can’t feel a difference coming from a 240hz Benq monitor but I can sure see a difference, it’s like night and day
