AMAZING! I can give 5 stars to most things I buy on amazon, but this one deserves me writing some positive stuff -This is the best box cutter ever. It only goes out when needed (like a turtle ) LOL The blade is long enough to get the job done and if you accidentally cut yourself with this then you need not to ever be around sharp items, like ever. It's fictional, great design - 5 stars wto whomever designed this. The mechanics on this works great all the way around, from discharging, to cutting, to putting it in its case, at every move you know that it did what it was supposed to. It clicks out of its cover, clicks in, only openers when you want (again- the mechanics on this) This is great to have if you have small kids, if your shaky or not a mechanical knife person - This is safe for any and everyone. Great to break down boxes, opening your Amazon orders and overall a functional, nice looking SAFE blade - 5 stars - highly recommended but the guy who doesnt' have the time to write a review -

This is a great box utter! The ability to change the blade depth, is a feature I will be using often in cutting boxes that I receive. It fits well in my hand and easy to operate. It comes with a holder to attach to clothing and a spring style plastic cord attachment. I recommend this box cutter.

Three blades in top compartment that’s easy to access. Changing blade is easy. Extra blades are sufficient. Way better than heavy duty box cutters in my opinion (based on my usage for it). I can clip it on, use the box cutter and return to holder. Keeping me from forgetting where my box cutter went or if I retracted the blade during a large truck offload. The Trigger concept is a great safety promoter. I’ll buy this product a million times over heavy duty ones because of its ease of use, reuse and never having to wonder where the heck I left it. As it’s clipped on my trouser, pocket or belt. Also, even if the cord on the blade component (attaching it to the return base) was to break for any reason- the component fits snug on the carrying case so not even concern about that. It is a more lighter plastic but who needs heavy box cutters (idk) but for me this is perfect. Never worried if I retracted the blade back after use… simply press the trigger point, use, and release. Done done done. No regrets for what this product alleviates in my work load. Perfect! I’ll love to see this concept in various strengths and core materials but either way… this product found a new return customer. I have fellow workers asking where they can get one… they want to replace their heavy duty box cutters and I’m happy to point the way. Give it a try if you’re wondering if it’s worth it. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Its not the best build quality. For the price however, it is a fantastic tool, and you get two! Over time, they will wear out. I used one for about a year before I had enough. The problem areas are: the spring inside may break, resulting in the blade remaining out unless pressed back in. The tether may break. And lastly, the holster clips will wear as you put the knif in and out, meaning it may fall out when walking. Annoying if like mine, you get all three priblems. If you work retail or something like that, you wont be disappointed at all. One thing i do wish is for more blade to come out, but for cutting boxes its more than enough.

Convenient style and functionality. Too new yo fully rste, but it is well worth the money spent for this.

**UPDATE** HIGHLY RECOMMEND** SO my original review had some trouble with blade staying locked in. But seller reached out to me listened to my concerns corrected them and replaced defective blade. The seller is extremely helpful and the seller contacted me about the issue I did not contact them. They replaced the blade the new one works great like it should again I highly recommend product and seller. I use the knife for my stocking job and its perfect for the job to open top of boxes without causing any product damage. The button to set blade depth is great use.

Very nice and safe cutter.

the handle part technically works, but the part inside the handle that holds onto the blade notches is very shallow. The blades that come with the handle have slightly rounded notch edges on one side, so that side will not stay in place with the shallow blade grab thing. Put a blade in and then use pliers to try and see if you can pull the blade back out without pushing on the blade release button. If the blade comes out, you can't use that side, so flip the blade around and use the other side. if the other side is already worn out and the new side won't stay in, time to throw out the blade or use it with a different brand's handle that has a more reliable blade holding system.

Very happy with this purchase, the retractable feature makes this cutter very safe to use

This is just perfect for what it is designed to do. Husband stole it and put it in his toolbox.

these are really good boxcutters

I bought this to speed up my opening of boxed stuff (not just Amazon parcels!) I really like the idea of the belt clip holster and safety strap. Locks in with a solid click. The holster is reversible so it can work left or right handed (or both since you get two!) Minor gripes: 1. Belt clip is not quite deep enough for my belts. 2. Tends to rotate on my belt so it's often upside down. 3. Blade deliberately doesn't come far out. Fine for most uses but not for cutting big things like sticks or carpet. 4. Sometimes getting the knife out of it's holster activated the blade popout. Good points: Pop out mechanism is quick, and hides the blade for safety. Very handy for stores, opening boxes Good safety 3 depth presets for the blade. Comes with spare blades in the unit and more spares in the package. Blades are standard ones you can get everywhere.
