Hi Lorraine,Our GPSport 245+ does not support Auto Start/Pause. It requires manual operation. However, our GPSport 260 Pro does support Auto Start/Pause.Thank you.

Do I need a sensor with this meter?

Hi,GPSport 245+ has GPS included so it can display some basic status based on GPS, but it does not support external sensors (For example, heart rate sensor or cadence sensor). If you want to use external sensors, GPSport 260 Pro can support ANT+ sensors.Thank you.
