These are great to sooth my throat when I'm in a dry environment. Hotels seem to be particularly dry, and for some reason I always seem to need one in church. When my throat feels irritated and scratchy, these do the trick. I have a paralyzed vocal cord, and my doctor told me that I can't have mentholated cough drops, so the Luden's are perfect. And they taste great, too.

I’m going to say that they are more like a cherry lifesaver candy. They don’t help a cough. More like “wetting your whistle” Easing a dry throat maybe. They taste like candy.
