When I was searching for a chain, to use with a magnifier, I was sold when I saw the "lifetime guarantee" offered with this. And yes, unfortunately, I've already had to request a replacement. My cat, afraid of strangers, was being held so that I could get him inside. And when he saw a stranger right by the door, it was a struggle to get him inside. In the middle of that struggle, he managed to jerk the chain hard enough for it to break along the clasp link TO the chain. It broke, but a replacement is already speeding on it's way. I do want to clarify. The CHAIN didn't break, it was the small connector to attach the lobster clasp, that's what broke. The chain itself is beautify. I love the appearance of it. It's the perfect size to use with my magnifier, and I've been wearing it almost 24/7 since it came. It's very smooth, never snags on my clothing or my hands. It's strong, I've even worn it to bed without fear. If the cat hadn't been so panic'd, I think it would have even survived his struggles. I will admit, I'm sad that I have to return the original chain, once I receive my replacement. I think that I'd be able to find some use for it, since the main part is still perfectly fine. But I'm hoping that the company will be able to figure out a way to strengthen the connection from the chain to the clasp. Oh, the clasp, a lobster clasp, is so tiny and cute, but very sturdy in and of itself. It easily allowed me to thread the magnifier on through either end.

I just received my order from DSS that I placed only two days ago. I eagerly opened the boxes, and viewed my new treasures. Last week a chain broke with a pendant that I have worn nearly daily since I got it 5 years ago in Hawaii. I couldn't stand the thought of not wearing it again, and so began my hunt for a new chain. I could have bought cheaper, but the reviews for DSS were so amazing and consistent. I decided that it was worth it to go with them. But, not only did I buy a chain for Hawaiian pendant, I also bought chains for 4 more pendants. I'm glad I did. I now have chains for a pendant that was my mother, a gemstone of mine that I haven't worn in years, and two gemstones a friend made for me. I'm already planning to wear what. All five chains were brilliant silver. And for the width and length, each felt very sturdy and exceedingly well made. Each pendant looks fantastic on the chain. And as others have said, each came packages individually in a box with cleaning instructions anti-tarnish spots, and a mini-cleaning kit. Since I ordered 5 at once, they didn't have give me 5 mini-kits, but they did anyways. If you need a chain for a special pendant, or a gift or just to wear as is, shop no further Designer Sterling Silver. You will not be disappointed.

These are absolutely the best chains . I have bought 5 such chains over the years and all of them still look great . No tarnishing at all. Love the box chain construction as it dosen't tangle nor snag on clothing.

Gorgeous chain very beautiful and bright quality looks nice. I wish the lobster claw was a little bit bigger, but it is average size for the necklace. I absolutely would recommend this. Yes, especially since it’s made in the USA. We gotta start buying more from the USA.

This review will be lengthy. In a nutshell, I am impressed. I had five pendants that I was planning on giving as Christmas gifts but the neck chains that they originally came with were hideous and unattractive. I selected Media Productions sterling silver chains based on the number of positive affidavits and photos of what I believed I was looking for. I ordered one neck chain so I could determine how it looked with the pendant and to evaluate the quality of the chain and lobster clasp. I was so pleased that I turned around and ordered the other four chains. Before I received the chains, the owners of the company reached out in an email and provided a pdf I could download for the detailed, proper care of sterling silver jewelry. With my second order, once again Media Productions reached out to let me know they would follow up and see how I enjoyed my purchases. Overkill, you might ask? NO! More like chasing a unicorn! I worked in customer service for 20+ years and I just want to let Mr. Glosup know how much I appreciate his passion and integrity for his product line. The neck chains came securely and individually wrapped with gift boxes, plastic jewelry bags and instructions. Companies tout their dedication to guest service but oftentimes it is misrepresented and the consumer disappointed. To receive personal service AND quality product in a timely manner? Very rare indeed. The photos I attached demonstrate how well packaged the chains were and then the second photo displays the consistency of the chains and the gift boxes provided for gift giving or storage.

This chain is perfect. It's strong and well made. I bought it to replace a chain that had broken, it had a beautiful charm on it. The charm looks even better with this new box chain.

The chain is beautiful, and a really good thickness. I got the 24 once one and it’s great for larger pendants or wearing several pendants with it at once.

I must state first the comments that the seller stated. If you have any issues with this item that they will work with you on fixing/replacing it. That is what got me hooked. When I received my item, it came with little black squares of material that you use to store with sterling silver. It helps your silver keep it shine and keeps it clean. I always just hung my chains with/without pendants on a bar installed on my wall. After reading the little info included with my item, I realized why I had to clean my chains (& what not) so often. Even gave you an alternate method of using a piece of aluminum foil in a plastic bag or velvet pouch. Jeez, I never ever thought of that. Also included a few little plastic bags so you could cut the black material to put pieces in each little storage bag. Wow, very nice touch! Was just amazed at the info I learned and that they included all that with the purchase of my sterling silver box chain. Awesome. The only reason I gave this review a 4 is the clasp is a bit tiny and takes a bit getting used to, doing it up and taking it off. I would love to see a round clasp that is a bit bigger as opposed to the tiny lobster clasp. Over all though, I believe I will purchase again from this seller. Very impressed and would definitely recommend. Customer service is their main focus obviously, which is very refreshing - Thank you.

This is perfect, now I see what everyone is saying. The shine, the lobster clasp and the packaging is top notch and the added 'emergency pack' is genius. I needed earring backs and I always keep my jewellery separate in bags with anti-tarnish slips. I will be buying all my chains from this company.

I am very disappointed in this product. I bought the chain for the pendant pictured. The pendant is years old, not tarnished - the chain, a week old, and starting to go black. It is not real silver. I am also getting a slight rash on my neck. If this was real silver this would not be happening. I got screwed!
