Having the original Surface Dock which only has 2 Mini DisplayPort outputs, this AmazonBasic adapter worked great for connecting my Surface Laptop to an external HDMI monitor. The display kept cutting in and out, which I thought was related to my monitor or the Surface Dock but after trying this AmazonBasic Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, it turned out my old adapter was the culprit. So far, this adapter works great, is able to support 1440p@60Hz and no disconnects or issues at all.
