I am glad I included this bath salt in the hamper as my poor little sis has varicose veins which has flared during her pregnancy and she experiences great discomfort due to swollen and painful feet. She also gets stiff back off and on.Epsom salt is not new for me and I know it has been used for ages to ease all kinds of aches and pains. It is effective in curing skin problems , soothing the nervous system, , reducing back pain and aching feet, easing stiff muscle, healing cuts and bruises , and flushing out toxins.This is also the phase of stress and aches for her. When dissolved in warm water, Epsom salt is absorbed through the skin and replenishes the level of magnesium in the body. The magnesium helps to produce serotonin, a mood-elevating chemical within the brain that creates a feeling of calm and relaxation.The salt soak up is good for soothing the stretching skin also.For relieving tired feet she adds 2 tbsp to warm water in shallow tub and after 10 -15 minutes rinses off with cool water. This is almost a daily ritual and the quantity in the container is not enough to see her through more than 2 weeks. She says she needs to buy more but this is a tad expensive when used every day. But still she has repeated it. So adding one more star ⭐️.For a bath tub you need two cups of salt in warm water. Soak for 10 -12 minutes . My sis didn’t fill up the entire tub, just half of it which is enough to immerse the lower body. She had to empty half of the container.The fragrant lavender is also known for its stress buster quality. I am a fan of lavender already. Will buy one for myself too.This is a must have in a hamper for the expecting women.Epsom salt is very effective in soothing fissures .
