Since iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with a great feature of magnetic back to stick thing on to perfectly, So I thought I would choose something similar as a car mount. But unfortunately the iPhone's magnet itself is not strong enough to hold the weight. So it falls if you shake the holder. The perfect solution is the Magnetic plates that goes inside your iPhone case. But be careful not to fix the sleeve in the center if your iPhone otherwise you won't be able to charge your iPhone wirelessly on your wireless charging pad. Keep the sleeve at the bottom of your case. That's it. The rest is perfect. Good quality and firm grip with magnetic plates.

I am very happy with my choice of smartphone holder. My phone has never fallen and I find the unit convenient. I was very concerned which unit to buy, wanting it user friendly but also to not drop my phone! Well this phone holder has been perfect so far. If this changes I'll update this comment. The following is my experience: My car is a Nissan Rogue. The CD slot is approximately 1/4 inch wide (where the Koomus prongs fit in). I use this unit with my phone cases ON, either my Samsung S5 which has a fairly heavy case with a sliding slot that holds 3 credit cards (I put the magnets in here after removing the cards), or the Samsung S6 which has a lighter case (I peel it back, slip in the magnets and put the case back on). I would say my daily phone/holder use is about 100 to 150 kms of my daily travel. Most of my travels are on good highway but there are the odd significant dips, Toronto city starts and dead stops, road construction that chews up the top smooth layer of asphalt leaving behind the rough stuff. Significantly I recently travelled on a horrible pot holed gravel detour road for about 4 kms ...TWICE! I was really worried the phone would shake off. Literally the pot holes were only a few inches apart one leading into the next, no shoulder or other track I could drive on and they ranged from 4 to 6 inches deep on average. I couldn't believe my phone remained attached throughout the entire ordeal. The car was shaking and dropping like crazy. ..and so was the phone! But it held on and didn't move a whisker! (Well I should say my phone shook and bounced like the car but never slipped even a fraction of an inch or dislodged in any wsy). It remains secure to this day. There is a small bounce of the phone while travelling normally. This doesn't affect anything on the phone but it is there. I believe the phone would have to be 100% glued to the dash for there to be 0% movement. Personally I no longer notice the fractional movement when looking at the map etc. I have no trouble putting it into the CD slot on my Nissan Rouge. It also fit on my friend's Dodge Grand Caravan CD slot. You can use the phone and maps easily. The phone portals are not blocked. I prefer the phone sitting vertically in the car. The Koomus unit has a ball joint so you can customize it to the angle you wish. This ball joint is extremely stiff (so stiff at first I thought it didn't move). I recommend you adjust it outside of your CD slot placing it in and out of the slot until you are satisfied, then leave it set at that angle). At first I thought it was too stiff but following that pot holed gravel road ordeal I am really glad it is. After adjusting I remove it from the CD slot at night and store in the glovebox as is, then replace it into the CD slot the next day. It has never moved since the one-time adjustment. The unit comes with 2 magnets with paperbacks on one side of each magnet (they are self adhesive ). I don't like to stick anything on my phone so left the peelable paper in place and just put both magnets in and out of my one case when needed, leaving them attached to the magnet when not in use. When the unit is in the CD slot and the phone is vertically aligned (my preference ) the CD DOES still play. If you want to change the CD you have to remove the unit first. The phone blocks the time on the display. It also blocks the volume button but if like me you know where it is you can access it easily and adjust. The radio/CD/AUX buttons are NOT blocked (Nissan Rogue). I require 2 hands to put this unit in my CD slot because the spring is very strong. Thank goodness it is strong as this holds it in place. I have weak fingers compared to many so I am very sure many if not most people could squeeze the unit to insert into the CD slot using one hand. Well this is a lengthy review but I know I struggled which unit to buy so studied a lot first. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this unit. It was not the cheapest at Amazon but I like and rely on my smartphones and wanted them protected. Equally I didn't want any damage to my car CD slot area and it still looks mint with zero marks. I am very pleased with this unit. I should add the feet/prongs that go into the CD slot are perfect length and rubberized. Also the magnet in the unit is very strong.

Tolles Produkt als alternative für alle Lüftungsschlitz-Halter, die nicht immer passen. Wenn der CD-Schlitz nicht benötigt wird, ist das die bessere Wahl. Bei Mercedes runden Lüftungsschlitzen auch die Einzige, um sein Telefon ordentlich abzulegen. Einzig die Metallplatte hinter einer Hülle, trübt das Erlebnis wenn man keine Hülle nutzt. Bei mir aber nicht der Fall.
