Conair Instant Heat 1 1/2-Inch Curling Iron, 1 ½ inch barrel produces soft waves – for use on medium and long hair

It's everything it promised to be... I'm actually quite pleased with how this works. I have medium length, fine, thin hair. At first I was going to get a1"barrel but I'm glad I stuck to the 3/4" I plugged it in and the directions tell you the best setting to use depending on hair type my "hard to curl" type is anywhere between 21 and 25 and is always put it on lowest setting possible. It heated up very quickly. Before Curling I put a Thickening Lotion and Volumizing Mousse in my hair as well as used thermal protectant. I curled small sections at a time... Only needing to hold for about 9 sec and I was really pleased with how smoothly my hair slid or if barrel when I released the clip. I set each curl with a Curling pin and when my whole head was cooked down and set, I released the curls from the pins. Wow, I can't believe how beautifully they turned out. I held the iron vertically so my curls were soft, bouncy ringlets, varying in size depending how large an area of hair I used. The curls are so soft and manageable to the touch. I had nice body and just ran my fingers through to spare them and misted with a light finishing spray. Definitely a change up from the deep waver of large Curling iron. I love what this does... It's simple and to the point while working wonders in my normally hard to curl hair. I definitely recommend it you just need something to get the job done right without any frills. Very happy I purchased.

Heat is too low for heavy hair. Not recommended for heavy and long hair

I had one of these for about 18 years and I loved. My old one finally got to the point I had have it at the right angle to get it to turn on so I luckily found one and it’s identical. I love them!

This seller is selling all kinds of electronic products on Amazon India. One would assume that it's designed for Indian market. However this curling iron will only work in US. This detail is buried way down in the technical description so this product placement is misleading. Seller told me to go buy a converter plug but refuses to accept returns. Reading the reviews, this has apparently happened to other customers. It's a trap and very misleading to sell non-India functioning products on an Indian shopping website.
