Q: will the magnets hold a bag with a couple of lbs of stuff w/o needing to strap it down-- going over bumps or riding hwy at 75mph?

I believe so. Magnets are strong. I went with a Cortech bag on my tl1000r because unlike my cbr 900rr the tank is not steel. It has a fiberglass cover so I needed to buy a bag that could be strapped down. Hope that helped.

Q: Work on a suzuki boulevard?

From what I know it will work. It’s magnetic and works on most bikes.
