I bought a few mouthguards for my son who plays lacrosse. He recently got braces on his top and bottom teeth so I needed to find him a new mouthguard. I bought this one and the Shock Doctor Convertible Ultra Braces one. This one covers both the top and bottom braces / teeth, the convertible ultra one just covers the top teeth. This one is bigger than the ultra but at thirteen, it fits him and he wears it comfortably. He is not a big kid and it still fits well. It is made of very soft and supple silicone. Even though this one is not as streamlined as the convertible ultra one, he chose it over the convertible ultra as it was comfortable, easy to wear and offered better protection against the errant stick or ball. Nice mouthguard.

I got this for my 14 year old son who plays football and has braces. It's great - fits well and seems to really protect his mouth. He has no problem closing his mouth when wearing it, and it covers his braces comfortably. The shipment came quickly too! We've already purchased this product twice (for 2 different football seasons) and are very satisfied with everything. We will definitely get this again for next year's season!

My 12 y/o has a smallish mouth and strong gage reflex, so finding a mouth guard to cover her braces without making her want to throw up has been a challenge. The youth (under 11) shock doctor for braces has been perfect. It's pretty bulky in the front, but doesn't distract her. She says it's comfortable and she likes it.

Recommended from orthodontist bc my kids have braces. Works well, kids say it feels big in their mouth but I don’t have any other option. I don't love the price especially when there are no other options.

Got these for boxing perfect fit

Hands down the best for upper and lower braces! It does take getting used to and to get broke in so I recommend wearing it prior to the day you need it! My son says it is hard to breathe in at first and it causes his lips to dry out until he breaks it in. None of my boys have had broken brackets with these!!

Works and fits well with my sons braces, define recommended

Purchased for teen boys participating in middle school wrestling team. One with braces one without, they both benefited from the protection for both upper and lower teeth. There is no prep for use, no boiling water, etc. We washed them with some warm water and dish soap as a precaution. The material feels durable and pliable. May repurchase for fall football also.
