How long do you keep it in your hair for?

Just long enough for a normal shampoo. Shampooing it twice seems to enhance the effect and combing it through the hair also.

I have Level 5 color treated brown hair. There is a lot of brassiness in it. I know a silver won't change the color, but would it tone it some?

I'm sure it would. There is a Brown Tahitian Pearl that has a more blue tone to it (opposite of orange on the color wheel) that I use that helps tone it for me but I have highlights so I cant use it much or else it turns my highlights blueish green.

I have colored treated blonde hair. I want to get the silver. Im worried it will make my hair more grey than silver though?

I have the strip my color out by a professional initially to get my hair colored. I use this to maintain the color when it gets dull( fades to that bleach blonde base underneath my dye). The color on the back is exactly what I get when I use the product. If you like the color on the bottle, it should be the same. Never used the grey to be of more assistance.

how long before it washes out after one use

That is a little different for everyone as it depends on the porosity of the hair. That said it is a semi-permanent direct dye and this is one of the lighter shades. To maintain a color we recommend using it every other time you wash. to make a shade fade faster we recommend switching to a clarifying shampoo.
