This turntable is made of quality materials and the turning motion is smooth and consistent. This is a heavy duty turntable. I started baking layer cakes and bought a turntable as recommended by more experienced cake bakers. After reading several reviews, I selected this one. Great value. A turntable is absolutely essential to perfect smooth buttercream exterior. I've used it several times and absolutely love it!
