Perfect for small hands. Has been played with endlessly. Robust and colourful but lacks the charm of our 1970 model!

I am happy to give this product five stars. It is well-made, sturdy, and perfect for toddlers. Nevertheless, it is frustrating how the Fisher Price Little People product line seems intent on reinforcing gender stereotypes. The bus comes in yellow and pink, but the house only comes in pink. When was the last time you saw a pink house or pink bus anyway? My little toddler, of course, doesn't give a hoot about the color, but it seems a shame to discourage parents of boys from buying them a dollhouse! Otherwise, this is perfect. Assembly is easy. The size is great for playing on the floor or the table. It folds up easily for storage, and all of the parts fit easily within which can prevent lost pieces. The light and sound functions are really low-key -- the fridge and oven light up, the toilet flushes, and you can put music on in the kitchen. My toddler interacts well with the sound functions. He loves to dance to the music. We bought this for him when he was 19 months, and I was surprised how able to was to engage in this kind of pretend play. Right away, he would pretend about the daddy leaving for work, Emma and mommy going potty, eating, going night-night, etc. I love that this comes with a potty, as we've introduced some light toilet training and it's great to be able to incorporate some pretend play around the potty.
