great product.
This is my third lamp. Same one. Excellent lamp for reading and sewing. So I had to have it. I placed them in three different rooms. So easy to put together. Took 5 minutes. Packed good so no breakage.

Still like new after more than 2 years!
We now have 3 of these Lavish Home Sunlight lamps for various areas of our home; that tells how much I love them! I use them as a reading/craft light and they are perfect for that. They are extremely bright, like being in the sun. The light given off is also beneficial for plants and our birds love sunbathing under them! To be fair, they can be a little difficult to assemble as the threads don't connect tightly. One of our 3 lamps is now taped as it came loose and would not stay tight. I didn't take off stars for that, however, as the light had been tipped over several times and finally just became too weak. It has a nice base on it, but I keep ours behind a table or piece of furniture to ensure it doesn't tip over. Without the extra assurance, you can make sure it stays upright by adjusting the neck and light to keep it balanced. It's not a problem unless you over-extend it. It is made partly of plastic and so not as sturdy as some metal lamps, but I have not had any problems with ours in the 2.5 years we have had them. They are less expensive than many others; and I feel they are definitely worth the price we paid. I recommend this lamp for reading, crafts, a bird light, or as a full spectrum focal light for your plants.

Fantastic lamp, Great light!
I had high hopes for these lamps - I purchased two. My expectations were exceeded. They are easy to put together and have simple directions which are almost not needed. They were the exact color I wanted and match the chairs I paired them with. The best two things about them are that they have a solid heavy base which keeps them from tipping over when you make adjustments to the movable neck, and the sunlight that I get from it. The light is great for those not out in the natural sun as I am not, and it's especially great for working at my laptop because the light is so natural and non glaring. I hope they last a good long time because I like them very much. They are a great buy for the money and a great addition to my eye saving "program" since I spend a lot of time at the computer. Highly recommended.

Assemble carefully!
Between my home and my parent's home, I have now assembled 6 of these lamps. All worked just fine and I've had no reliability problems as others have mentioned (except see below). A few things I've learned. 1) Lining up the threads on the tubes is tricky. Make sure they are perfectly square and if it starts to turn even the least bit hard, unthread and start over. If you cross thread it, you are screwed (no pun intended). This is kind of hard to do when you are connecting the top to the base as you have the entire heavy lamp and it's hard to get a feel for whether it is going on corrently or not. Make sure the tube is square to the base and you should be OK. 2) When you connent the first tube to the head, pull up the flexible covering and hold the upper threaded insert with some channel-lock pliers. It's hard to get it very tight otherwise. Everything else you can tighten by hand, but snug it down good. 3) Make sure the lamp is inserted well. Push it down into the little retention clips on the sides first and then pop it into the socket by pushing on the plastic base (not the glass tube). It pops in rather firmly. 4) I had one lamp where the tube didn't fire up well. it just sort of dimmly glowed at first. I turned it off for 10 seconds then on again and after a few cycles it fired up fine. Some bulbs also just start up with the outside two tubes glowing. The others come on after a few minutes and then seem to work OK after that so be patient with the new tubes. 5) The last lamp I built wasn't working at all. As I was disassembling it to send back, I noticed that one of the pins had come partially out of the plastic connector at the base so contact was not being made. Easily fixed by pushing the pin back up into the connector. When you assemble, make sure the pins/sockets are engaging well. I'm a pretty experienced mechanical/electrical guy and I can see where this assembly could be troublesome for some. Take your time and don't force the threads! These are very nice lamps for reading or project work on a table.

Excellent lamp
Good construction - metal tubes, heavy base. Good looking - goose neck covered by accordion pleated plastic and attractive looking head. Good electronics - high voltage ballast provides instant on - no filament warmup required. No wall wart transformer - all circuitry in lamp unlike many others. Excellent quality light - Extremely bright and similar spectrum to white LED lamps. Great price - Price Pros sells for $[...] including shipping - no sales tax. I was using an OttLite 13 watt as a reading lamp and it just wasn't bright enough. This lamp is 27 watts and has about the same brightness as a 100 watt incandescent lamp but with a much whiter, crisper look. The gooseneck is easily adjustable in all directions and seems to be plenty stiff enough to hold the lamp in position. The price is unbeatable for a good quality floor lamp. I see just the lamp being sold for $[...] though it can be bought for half that. If you want the same basic design but as a table lamp it can be found by searching for 72-0813. I bought mine for $[...] including shipping - haven't received it yet.

1. I used it for working at my desk. Light is fine. The look is o.k, simple. You want used it as a Murano glass, who have a very good light and a beautiful look.. What I mean, as a lamp for working, it o.k, but not otherwise! I received it in December 7, 2013, I cant say a thing about longivity & durability!

Well, it's been a year since I purchased this lamp and it's been working great as a sun lamp for those dark winter days when I need that sunlight therapy. Lately, I've used it to grow my indoor kale from seed and they've germinated faster. Works like a grow light too! The plants and I have benefited from this lamp. Thinking of buying another one in the future.

The light is exactly as advertised and so you get what you ordered. It provides very clear and bright light to enable me to see to do any kind of craft work. For me, this is knitting and it is very useful especially on dark winter days!
