Works fine. I have used the machine about 10 times since installing the product. Not cushy at all. Feels like professional firm minimalist but durable extra seat comfort.

Not a huge amount of padding, but the silicone cover has a little more give, which works well in conjunction with the modest sponginess of the default rower seat. If you're bonier in that area, this will work well to let you rest on your laurels without groaning as you stand up. The default seat on the rower is quite smooth. The silicone seat cover will provide more grip. If you ever felt like you have slipped out of place midway through a workout, this will rectify the issue.
