I have philips lumea prestige and I tried to use it without glasses as the manual said that it is safe to use it without glasses just don't look at the light, But I don't really know how it is safe using it like that!. I felt dizzy after a min or two even without looking at the light! Any way this glasses worked like a charm and I manged to use my lumea for around an hour without feeling bad at all. But as an advice .. still don't look at the light even with the glasses
