I have a problem. I'm guessing that you, if you're looking at watch boxes on Amazon, might have a problem too. My problem is too many watches and what to do with them. I started off with a cheapo 6-watch box. Then a 2-watch winder. Then a 4-watch winder (the Chiyoda winder above, nice but not perfect). Then I scrapped the cheap 6-watch box and bought the extremely nice Glenor "walnut" finish 12-watch box. This was it. No more watches. I was done. So of course two years later I was looking for another box. I don't need another 12-watch box (yeah, right) so I went looking for something nice and solid that would match my Chiyoda winder and would give me room for some of my other EDC stuff. The Lifomenz looked good. The $15 coupon looked REALLY good. I pounced. The Lifomenz box is nicely packaged in a perfectly giftable box with a card. Foam protects the fragile corners and glass. The finish is a nice matte "ebony" grain. Not to be confused with ebony wood or ebony veneer, it's basically an applique over MDF. For the price it's very good though, and the grain on mine was more subtle than the pictures on Amazon would seem to suggest. The black vinyl interior is free from any stray glue smears or finish issues. My example was free from the scratches on the metal pieces that some buyers have reported. The hinges open smoothly. The whole thing is really well made and sturdy. The pillows fit snugly, which keeps the watches from flopping around. The ring-holder section is perfect for rings, okay for cuff links and decent for tie clips. The open section really does fit two pairs of glasses with a little room to spare. Notice that mine doesn't have the "Lifomenz" plaque on the inside of the lid. Yeah, that comes right off. I don't want to have a plaque advertising what sounds like a non-prescription ED medication hovering above my nice watches. I'm funny that way, I guess. Overall the Lifomenz is a win. It's reasonably priced, well-made and attractive. When I buy my next watch box (not even trying to pretend I'll never need another watch box at this point) it'll be Lifomenz!

I researched literally a dozen watch boxes under $150. I knew this would keep me away from real wood, heavy boxes with locks, etc. This was a huge surprise for the price point - it was heavy, beautiful, and something i could keep for a long time. I ended up not keeping it b/c i decided I wanted a box with a drawer for a watch tool, and extra straps. But if i didn't have that need, i would have kept this. The wood/color was awesome. Looked/felt like real rosewood, it was heavy, and the hinges were solid and didn't feel cheap. It exceeded expectations and would recommend this to any guy if the shape works for you. It is on the longer side but if long is cool, it is really is awesome.
