Sure, you could pay $150 for a real BETA 58-A, and they are great mics. OR... you can turn ANY 58-type microphone into a BETA 58-A clone for only $5 with these grill heads - thanks to the little bright blue rubber rings !!! But on a serious note... The threads of these grill heads are not finished very well, but they do screw onto a real SM58 mic - just be careful. The internal foam doesn't fit inside very well, but who cares - it doesn't hurt the sound. The metal grill mesh is slightly more coarse than an original SM58, and the finish is slightly more shiny. No one will EVER know or care about any of that, just as they wont have any idea you're not holding a real BETA 58-A - LOL !!! I really did buy these just for the little blue rings (which I couldn't find anywhere else) and now I have my original SM-58 grills as backups. Not OEM quality, but definitely 4-star value for a $5 purchase.
