Extremely stirring! Convicting and Uplifting all at the same time. I couldn’t put it down!
It’s been a long time since a read a book that was as captivating as this one. I think the last time I picked up a book that had me as captivated as this was right after I surrendered my life to Jesus at 17 and was given the book “God Chasers” by Tommy Tenny. Jeremy was able to really articulate and put into words things that I have been feeling and sensing for quite some time. We are at a place in our church where we are restructuring and rebuilding our current worship community and laying the foundation for what we want our worship arts culture to be moving forward. This book has provided so many applicable principles for us to build on as we set out to accomplish this. As me and one of our other worship pastors went through this book together, there was so much confirmation to things we were already feeling and sensing that God was speaking to us. This book was definitely a God send that came to us at just the right time. Thank you for your honesty, transparency, and commitment to speak the truth in love Jeremy! The future of our church, our worship community, and our region in Panama City, FL, are forever indebted to you for your obedience in writing this!

challenging to the Christian worshipper.
What a fresh perspective! Riddle challenges the machine of the worship music industry and calls for a stripping down and reset to a genuine heart of worship. Pointing out the inherent weakness of the industry, the misguided intentions of wealth and celebrity, the lack of Jesus and a great missing of the target in the mission of true worship. This left me in a real stupor and i believe many who are being honest will in reading this will take a hard look at the current worship culture and see the same. It’s quite the challenge to the industry, but also to the church and the music ministry on the whole to evaluate their intentions and come back to the heart of worship.

Intimacy with the Father is everything.
God is using this book to spark a new dimension of worship within me and call me back to simply loving Him.

Timely word!
Only a few chapters in and have felt this tug on my heart to worship God in spirit and in truth, to return to worshipping Him in purity and adoration. Such a timely word for this year. God often in the midst of difficult and trying times reveals himself to his people and brings forth fruit in the most unexpected ways. He is the God who redeems. I think the book is timely in bringing this word during this pandemic when many of our houses of worship has been closed. We’ve been weaned off the routine of the big stage, big bands, light shows, many things have been stripped away. What I feel when I read this book is a longing and desire to worship again, in a renewed way. A way that has felt distant for some time, a way that has become strange. I felt a longing for spirit led worship and nothing but the sweet presence of God in a room filled with other voices of the saints. Not some choreographed, visually sensational, fog machine and light driven performance. The message is definitely one that is needed to be heard by many. Although only a faithful few may return, that would be enough. The message certainly resonates with the early gospels. I do hope to see the church restored, and with it true worship.

Thank you Jeremy Riddle
Reset…this line in the book sums it up for me…the Lord is restoring your spiritual authority in this hour. I also feel the Lord is calling those whose flame “once burned bright and clear”8 but the pain of life, disappointment, personal failure and misunderstanding have taken the wind out of your sails and led you into resignation. The Lord is awakening an old flame, and He will cause it to burn brighter in your latter years than it ever did in the zeal of your youth.

I couldn’t agree more with Jeremy on how our worship music and industry have been corrupted by the world. I’m in the Christian writing industry and it’s the same. We need renewed hearts that can sing a new song to the Lord.

This book couldn't have come at a better time. It's evident that it comes from the heart of a true worshipper, and I'm personally very inspired and encouraged by the challenge and hope that Jeremy Riddle presents in the pages of this book. I believe it is a prophetic call to truly return to the heart of worship. Although written in the context of worship music, the principles in this book applies to and has implications for the Christian life as a whole. This is a book the church must pay heed to now. Thanks for your obedience to the Father in writing this book, Jeremy Riddle!

Throughly enjoyed this book from Jeremy Riddle. Written with conviction and urgency, this book felt like a piece of modern day Tozer, stirring the soul to once again passionately pursue after Jesus above all else. Challenging yet empowering, this book calls Christians (specifically worship leaders) to reset and focus one again on the main thing - a singular focus, pursuit and loving devotion to Jesus. This book will be a great read for all believers but if you are involved in leading worship, I would say you have to read this book. I’ll certainly be encouraging it to those I know. If I was leading a team myself I would make this book required reading. Highly recommend.
