The material has the same feel as thin raincoats if you are wondering. I like it. If you're planning to get this to use as a casual bag, the size of this might be awkward. It's more for unexpected grocery shopping, etc.

I haven't had it very long howver, I LOVE this bag! I thought it was going to be smaller than it was so that was a plus. I love the pocket on the inside for receipts or my phone. It folds small and has straps on it to keep it rolled up so you can use the bag it came with for other things. It holds quite a bit! I've loaded it with bulk groceries and laundry detergent, oxy liquid and a couple other items and so far the bag is holding up! I've received compliments on it as well. Great buy for under $9.

I have been using a similar light, very sturdy bag regularly for as my shopping bag. I was very pleased to see how generous in size, the inside fabric pocket (for keys, small wallet), and wide, sturdy straps. The 3 beautiful Van Gogh illustrated bags are gifts to contain the San Francisco VG "Immersion" gift certificates for adult grandkids, along w Lake County wine, olive oil, walnuts + jam.
