Good quality
This gold leaf is tasteless and looks great on cakes. It is very thin, so you have to be careful when working with it because it's easy to mess up, but that is to be expected.

gastronomic gildings
I was the best man for my friends' wedding. Now they are celebrating their GOLDEN 50th anniversary. They live in the South and I live in Western New York where fruits and vegetables are fresh & bountiful. I send them canned fruits. jams and pickles every year ... and thought what a hoot to send Gilded Pears for the Golden Pair!Read the reviews ... they are "spot on" about a novice trying to "apply" this stuff..(which is really beautiful). I am always up for trying something, a challenge or experiment with food. I tried one and realized the deal. I could cut the foil into "stripes"... apply to the pear... get it in a pint jar... but the minute hot liquid was added, the foil came off and floated around just as you see in the Goldschlager liqueur. Another time when a great idea and reality bring on the crash of what to do next. I filled the pear cores with candy decorating hearts and processed for 20 minutes. I have attached the photos so you can see the end result... I still think it will be an awesome , unexpected gift.

very very delicate
I used these sheets to gild poached pears in a salad for a gourmet dinner. The pears came out beautifully with scattered bits of gold.I read reviews and knew these sheets would be tricky to use as they're so thin they can turn to powder on your fingers. The gold is sandwiched between papers. I cut the whole square of papers and gold in half without separating, and lifted a little of the paper to expose a bit of gold and touch it to the pear surface. the gold likes to cling, and i did get some bits on my fingers but most went on to the pears. I worked with only small bits of gold at a time because it wanted to cling to itself. I've never used gilding before. There is probably a better way to do it, but it came out beautiful and the guests at the party raved and took lots of photos. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me.I think you can buy these papers in smaller sizes which would have been easier to use for a novice like me

Perfect
You're going to need a utensil to place the flakes wherever you'd like but they're really easy to break apart and place them on whatever you'd like. So I would recommend this for anyone who is looking to customize something.

Too expensive
This product used to be less than 6 bucks and it’s almost 3 times the price now. I need the 24k gold though from a reliable seller as other sellers selling edible 24k gold cheaper are not authentic. (It tarnished with varnish.) Basically a good product but they are really exploiting their customers with this price.

Great quality!
Product was a little smaller than I anticipated only bc I’m used to working with the larger size, but overall the quality is great! Would recommend.

Hard to manage but once you get it nice
It’s a great item, some say it’s missing sheets but it’s my mistake for not counting them so I’ll say it’s all there. That gold color is great and looks great on my beef. Only issue is that I got the one that is hard to apply on. My mistake as well. I know there are others that are easiest depending on which you buy but overall GREAT!! Oh and some where a little fold but it did not bother me at all.

Needs Better Packaging
I was very excited for this product. I bought two of the 3.1/8 inch booklets, that comes with 10 sheets each. Separating the sheets was very difficult, which cause for some of the gold sheets to crumble together. If I was using them for sprinkles, I wouldn't have mind, but I was using them to cover a turkey. I would recommend separating them with a little index, making the sheets easy to tear out without affecting the other ones.
