Beautiful, soft yarn
Amazon sent the incorrect yarn so I returned and ordered directly from the vendor. It was totally worth it! The yarn feels so great and is wonderful to knit with. The blue has some tinges of black and it gives the yarn great dimension. Look forward to seeing the finished product!

Soft, very warm, and not bulky.
I love this yarn. I'm a novice, I am used to regular weight acrylic yarn and can crochet a granny square..... This is lighter, and a more slippery than what I'm used to; it took me a little while to get the hang of it. That being said, this yarn is consistent throughout, and crocheted up a nice scarf with a thermal stitch, warm & soft, not bulky and no air holes. I got exactly the effect I was looking for - thin enough to fit comfortably under a beard and helmet strap, and jacket, all without feeling claustrophobic. I used all three skeins, and would have used more if I had used the thermal stitch for the entire project; I used single crochet for each end, and thermal around the neck area. It's perfect. The very dark gray color makes it hard to see stitches, so for my next project I ordered a medium gray.

Very soft!
I knit a scarf with this alpaca yarn that was lovely, light weight and warm. Wish they produced a worsted weight product too,

The product doesn’t make but a half of a receiving blanket for a baby but is very soft !

Gorgeous Gorgeous
Some of the best yarn I have ever used. The color I bought is the steel blue/gray and colors are subtle and rich, not overpowering. It does split a little but once I adjusted my tension, I haven't had a problem. The sweater I am knitting has the most beautiful drape; it is soft and cuddle -- this yarn is just gorgeous!!!!

Quality Product
I used this to knit a throw blanket and it is now my go to blanket at night. It is incredibly soft like only alpaca can be perfect for gloves, hats, and socks. I will say i had a lot of money in my blanket but the finished product was worth the time and money. Plus im always thrilled to support a small business i hope my contribution helps and i will definitely be a repeat customer in the future.

Similar To Cashmere
I’m sure you’ve heard this, but I don’t write reviews very often. There was a reason that I stopped to write a review today. This yarn is very similar to cashmere, with two exceptions: firstly, this yarn seems to shed the baby alpaca hairs, which can be an issue because you will have an end product that will also be shedding these hairs (the main reason I don’t like down coats is because they shed feathers…makes me crazy), and secondly (more importantly) the manufacturer clearly hasn’t cleaned these hairs adequately. I have never been allergic to ANY yarn before now, but I had a mild allergic reaction while rolling up the yarn into balls. I know it’s not been cleaned properly because allergy sufferers don’t react to pet hair itself, but to the dander on the hair. I don’t react to cats & dogs, but I’m apparently allergic to alpacas…who knew? The manufacturer should have properly cleaned the hair first before making the yarn. I’ve never heard of an allergy to Cashmere before, which means that they take care of the fibers before making the yarn (makes sense because they wouldn’t want the name of Cashmere to suffer a bad brand recognition). I never would have thought about having an allergic reaction to a yarn, and I felt it was necessary to warn those who might react badly to such an item. My reaction was quite mild, and I don’t really think it’s that big an issue. However, there are some individuals who have very severe allergic reactions to many substances, and pretty much live their lives sealed off in their homes. I think it’s vital to let people know that this item carries the potential for an allergic reaction. Otherwise, allergies aside, it’s a very nice fiber. I think it’s actually a little softer and stronger than Cashmere, but it’s a close call. They are pretty similar fibers…very soft and easy to work with to make a lovely scarf or whatever.
