I am 62 and I had a breakout, I have very sensitive skin and am not wanting to pay for very high end product anymore although I ended up spending a lot! I tried a couple of highly recommended skin regimes for sensitive skin and ended up in a viscous cycle of scalding and breakingout that I could not calm down, everything I tried made me worse. I found African black soap and it started me on a path but my skin was so scalded, I decided to really research and decided to try this as pure and natural seems to just make sense and it does. When this cream came in I put it on and I love the earthy clean smell, it tingled a bit and I thought oh boy now I've done it, well yes I DID I put more on at bedtime and when I woke up it was nothing short of a Miracle!! Most spots where Gone or significantly better and my face was soothed!! The more I use it the more I love it, the SheaMoisture African black soap came a day or two later and my skin has never looked better. I like that the moisturizer is thick you do not need a lot and it works on combination skin as well, also a little extra dab on a problem spot really helps. I went by reviews as well as ingredients and I hope this helps someone who like myself just didn't know what else to try! As a footnote the consistency of the cream in no way makes me feel that I am clogging pores so don't worry GO FOR IT!!

Loved it more before the addition of tea tree oil. It used to be lightweight and very refreshing to put on. Now it’s thick and almost clumpy. Still moisturizes well but not as lovely as it used to be. It is confusing though b/c the older jar says “new lightweight formula” - I wish I could still find this one!

I decided to give this a try since I already use Shea Moisturize products. I was not disappointed. While the jar is small, a little goes a long way. I bought this two months ago and I still have a lot left, granted that I only use it a few times a week. Before the weather got extremely cold, this was very moisturizing. Since it’s cold, I follow it up with shea butter. This cream will leave your face feeling soft and moisturized. My skin looks amazing after I use it. It has a low scent which is a plus. While it’s great on the face, it also works wonders on your hands in the winter months.

I love this product. I was having issues with my skin and it seems to be clearing everything up. I can’t wait to re-order.

I've had issues going back twenty years in finding a facial moisturizer that worked for me. I have uneven skin. Dry in some areas and too oily in others. This fits that sweet spot. I can use just enough to suit my faces' skin type. And it doesn't clog pores and leaves my face with a natural even look.

This had many great reviews, so I wanted to try it out (for my dry skin). The moisturizer had a scent that I do not prefer. The application was smooth, but it did not keep my face moisturized as I thought. After using for a few days, my face began to itch. This is not the moisturizer for me. I will be returning.

The Shea Moisture black soap is fantastic. It cleans your skin squeaky clean, literally. I actually use the soap a few times a week with the oil of olay scrub brush. Now that it's clean, now what? Other moisturizers leave me oily and shiny, leading to break outs. But the key is this Shea moisturizer. It is not like a lotion, it is thick like a cream. At first I thought it was too thick and dry, but that seems to be the key. After toning, I put on this moisturizer, and my face is good all day. Not dry, not oily, not shiny. Before, I would blot oil off my face all day, now, my face has not been oily period. Even late in the day my face is not oily. I use nothing but shea moisture products on my face now. Black soap, toner, moisturizer twice a day.

Sent bon, est épaisse mais ne rend pas la peau grasse, très bien absorbée par la peau, la rend douce et unifie le teint quand on l'utilise tous les jours, un produit hydratant nourrissant avec de très bons ingrédients! Dommage qu'il est si difficile à trouver !

Smooth texture, very moisturising, non greasy, easy to apply, pleasant scent. Would buy again.

It is quite disappointing to see that such an expensive cream is being delivered unsealed and looks used… there should be a better packaging for such a product. Do not recommend if this is how it is delivered. Also the texture of the cream is different than previous version ! Not recommended

I ordered the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Balancing Moisturizer, but it arrived with a watery consistency, possibly due to heat exposure. It seems like the product might have spoiled or separated. Has anyone else experienced this?
