Worth paying a little bit more for this utensil as it is very well built and strong and scoops out frozen ice cream and sorbets easily.

The weight of this helps it cut through even hard frozen ice cream. It’s a little big for the Ben and jerrys tubs, but still more than usable.

This ice cream scoop is pretty sturdy and well made. However, I find it very difficult to scoop ice cream with. It doesn’t run over the surface of the ice cream and scoop it up; you have to dig into the ice cream and you can only do that once the ice cream is soft. I also find the trigger mechanism hard to use because I have small hands and the gap between the handle and the trigger is too large especially as I have arthritis in my thumb joint. I shall have to look for a different one!
