INTENSE FLAVOR, VERY STRONG
This product description says INTENSE FLAVOR. This description hits the nail directly on the head. This is the most overwhelming INTENSE licorice flavor i have ever experienced. This might work for cooking or baking as a flavor or candy making bit for me it does not work for what i thought it is. For me, it is not candy. The flavor is so strong it is over whelming. I can see this being used in baking or candy making.

Taste TERRRIBLE!
They Taste TERRRIBLE! I was expecting them to taste similar to the Vicks licorice cough drops when I was a kid, but they have a hint of licorice and chemicals with minimal sweetness. They're tiny pieces that are hard like rocks. Never again!

Delicious, genuine licorice flavor
These are definitely the other type of licorice flavor, i.e. the flavor is not totally similar to Barkleys licorice pastilles, which are more like Brach's jelly beans in taste. These are on the verge of being almost, almost bitter, but they're not quite. I'd say, sure, it's "pure" licorice flavor. These last a while in your mouth, so there's plenty of enjoyment to be had in this small tin.

Good, very licorice-y, pic is misleading: it's a small metal container
Good, but not a SenSen replacement. Other reviewers have said the same: very strong licorice flavor, small container (think a pocket box of wooden matches), fresh-tasting, slightly sweet, but I didn't get an unpleasant aftertaste. I happen to like them, but I can see how others might not like the strong licorice flavor.

Intense flavor! You only need one
Intense! You only need one. Do not make the mistake that I made by grabbing two that were connected together! I love the licorice flavor. These feel like stepping back into the past when candy was made with precision and care. I was expecting a bigger tin like Altoids. Very unique mint to have. Not stale at all. The smell is a nostalgic memory of eating licorice with my sister. Great value for the money. These will last for a long time. Definitely try them out. I'm following Barkleys page now. Never knew about them until this purchase. I'm glad that I bought them.

Nice
Nice little lozenges to fill your mouth with true licorice flavor. Not overly sweet. Nice little can fits easily in your pocket.

Low quantity, poor quality.
The container that these come in are absolutely tiny for the price, I was shocked when I opened my package! It was very disappointing. Initially, the mint part of these pellets is mildly enjoyable but not particularly flavourful. What's underneath? Vile. I have had the actual root and it was much more pleasant compared to these pellets. Bitter without almost any actual flavour and actually made me nauseaus, and I usually adore a good bitter flavour, but without anything to actually taste? What a waste. This product made me reevaluate my purchasing habits on this site. I would only recommend this product if you wish to punish a child for biting other children, and find washing thier mouth out with soap to be an ineffective disciplinary measure. The layers of disappointment combined with the eventual dread they will have of this product will work wonders.
