Bike is a 29er and the sproket that came with kit was geared to high lugging the motor and making it get hot.

Looking to add an electric motor on the rear wheel of a mountain bike? This freewheel is reverse threads and allows you to place the chain drive on the left side, opposite your existing manual drive system replacing the spacers and keeping the rear wheel centered on the frame. Not as quiet or as smooth as the Shimano freewheel on my old flatlander but it gets the job done and is very economical.

The freewheel sprocket broke from being spun too fast from a test run on my bicycle engine, rendering the whole setup useless. Only when I had to weld the freewheel to the sprocket would it function again. Everything else works great, however, I wish they gave you more chain links.

This kit goes well with MY1016 electric conversion. It allows for left side mounting so no need for messing with gears the bike came with stock and it's the only way to make it work with a single speed beach cruiser. I converted a mountain bike first (red one in photos) and that was more difficult because you need to remove the multi-gear from the rear wheel. You end up with just one gear in the back for pedaling anyway so might as well go with the beach cruiser to start with. The mounting plate can be cut and hammered into whatever fits with washers etc. to make it all line up. It sometimes fits well without modification if you have the right frame but don't count on it. If you mount it according to the manufacturers plan, your heel will be hitting the motor. Both of these bikes are only 24 volt 250 watt setups but move along quite well. If you are handy this is much less expensive than a factory electric bike.

Bonjour Tout est ok 👍, la livraison a été beaucoup plus rapide que prévu, tout est arrivé bien emballé et en bon état,L-faster est une très bonne boutique, plein de conseils et même des photos, et tout ca rapidement, J ai acheté la couronne et ces fixations ainsi que la chaîne histoire de voir si je pouvais installer le kit conversion 350w pour mon vélo Fat bike 26 pouces avec frein à disque, et je voulais garder le disque,(donc moteur a gauche)en ajustant avec des cales qui sont d ailleurs vendue également sur Amazon, je suis entrain de l installer et j ai donc conserver mon frein à disque arrière, et aucune modification pour fixer l ensemble, la seule modification ce fait sur la plaque de fixation moteur pour que tout soit bien aligné, il faut quand même avoir des bases en bricolage mais je suis certain que vous ne regretterez pas, le kit complet ne prend pas trop de place ont peut mettre une batterie et le contrôleur dans une sacoche (n oubliez pas de faire quelques entrée d air sur la sacoche, histoire de refroidir l électronique) je joindrais quelques photos quand l ensemble sera terminé, mais pour le moment vraiment très satisfait, et tout ca pour un tarif très correct et une boutique qui est présente si nécessaire Bonne journée à vous
