My son is 5 and Autisitc he hates his hair being done. I've tried everything, taking him to the barbers as he is scared at home for days after a cut. Using clippers myself which the sensation makes him so distressed he passes out. Using scissors which have resulted in many injuries as hair cutting ones are so sharp. These are great! The edges are not sharp so no worry of injury if they are jumping around, there are many different sizes for hair lengths and no worry of noise. Now my son still gets anxious but each time is getting less and less as I'm getting quicker using them, he knows there is no vibration and he can stop for breaks when it gets to much. At home I also let him wear his ear defenders for as much of the cut as I can adding an additional level of security. I can't rate this product high enough for both concept and quality.

not bad, good for children who hate the barbours

Fantastic product for children who do not like the noise of clippers due to sensory issues. I also needed to get another attachment as my son broke one. Matthew from calming clippers went above and beyond to replace free of charge. Highly recommended.
