My Little Pony: Good Night, Baby Flurry Heart

This book is beautiful. The artwork is very nice. Well binded, too. And it comes with a protective sleeve that has a different artwork than the actual cover and I personally find the cormer more beautiful than the latter. For all these reasons, I'm giving it 5 stars. I'll get back to the artwork later as some people complained about it being scary. But before doing that, I want to share my opinion in case you saw other reviews complaining about the story being cumbersome or difficult to follow. And I'm going to be using the names of the characters in this book, who are actually from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series. So you may not know which characters I'm talking about if you're not familiar with the TV show. The book description in here says thats for children aged 4 to 8 years old. I've seen a review saying that a 4 year old was not able to follow it and, as a result, the reviewer said that it was not in fact for 4 year old children. All children develop differently. So because one 4 year old couslnt understand it or follow it, it doesn't mean that no 4-yr old will be able to do so. The book is actually age-appropriate. The developmental ability of a child to understand it and follow it is a different thing. With that said, keep reading to understand why some reviewers are complaining about the targeted age or the story itself. The main story is that Flurry Heart does not fall asleep at bedtime no matter what her parents try. In the beginning of the story, Shining Armor is trying to get her to calm down and go to sleep. So he starts to tell her a daring story about a courageous Pony (basically himself.) So now we have one story within the main story. At some point, Cadence walks in the room. So now we're back to the main story. She interrupts Shining Armor and she starts to tell Flurry Heart a sweet story about a princess (basically, now she Princess Cadance is the protagonist of the new story within the main story, which now forces the reader to follow the plot of the main story, remember the unfinished plot from Shining Armor's story, and now start following Cadance's story.) At some point, Shining Armor interrupts her because Flurry Heart is no longer paying attention. So the two of them combine their respective stories into one, which now brings us to follow a fourth story. Confused yet? It is not really as confusing as it may sound above. But it can be difficult to follow for some children who have not reached a certain developmental stage for remembering stories and following certain plots. Now back to the artwork and why some people said that it has some scary pages. I included pictures for your reference. If your child is familiar with the show, nothing in this book will be scared to him or her. There are Timberwolves and cragadiles, animals that are many times shown in episodes involving the Everfree Forest. And the main antagonist in Shining Armor's story within the rain story is a mixture of King Sombra and The Pony of Shadows. If you're familiar with the show, it makes sense that Shining Armor uses these "monsters" in his story because he himself is a courageous, daring, soldier. Anyway, long review. I wanted to address the other comments as they sounded wither from people not familiar with the show or who don't understand children's intellectual development. Summarizing, if your child loves MLP Friendship is Magic, he or she will enjoy this book. The attention to details in the artwork issomething. For instance, Flurry Heart's stuffed animals are tiy versions of Spike, Twilight, Rarity, Gummy. Etc. My child loves this book and has not let it out if her sight since we got it a few days ago. She recently turned 7 of you were wondering. Money well spent for us. Every cent of it.

They can't seem to figure out what kind of story to tell the tiny insomniac baby so they work together and its cute and I'm glad we bought it. Its better than some of their books and not as flashy as the cool new neon looking ones but this is a really good bedtime story form the my little pony crazed preschoolers in your life.

This book was everything I thought it would be. A fan of the show myself and a father to be, I was excited to receive this. Fun little story and the artwork is wonderful!! Super excited to read it to my little girl :-)!!

THINGS THEY DID NOT MENTION. .the cover comes off. .33 or 31 pages. The book is really nice. It has altoghether three stories(not counting the book itself). Although it is a great, sweet book, there is one CREEPYYYYY ilustration . If you have a kid they will have to read it out loud. ITS A BIT BORING WHEN U READ IT IN YOUR HEAD .the book is simple, i will sugest for a 3-5 year old , some one who is on step two in reading. It has two words who troubled an eight year old! It goes perfect with the flurry heart doll . For example it goes great with the flurry doll beacuase you can read it to her. For girls AND boys.lovley pics. OVERALL....buy it. Its a book that will never get old( i got it on the tenth may twenty seventeen).

Bought used. It send lightly used but in new like condition, Seller did not add description that a page was roped out. A blank page, but still would have been nice to know what to expect. Love the story and art. We have even had it autographed by the shining armor, voice actor. ❤️

This is the perfect book for our My Little Pony obsessed baby. It’s long enough to be an actual bedtime story and the graphics are beautiful; exactly what babies want. I’d give this book 6 stars if I could.

Loved it. This is the second one that I buy. Sadly I had to leave mine back in my parents home in another country. This story is good for any my little pony lover that needs to start calming sleepy time. I can relate with newbie parents Cadance and Shinning Armor...we try everything to get our sweet babies to go to sleep.

Such a sweet story with incredibly beautiful artwork! The book is larger than I expected but that makes for a great story time reading experience. I gifted this to my friend who has a 4 year old & she loved it!

Excellent story. My little My Little Pony fan loves this book. She loves pointing out all the ponies in it. the illustrations are amazing.

Es bonito pero no tiene los personajes principales de Friendship is Magic (las mane six) con lo cual es para fans de princess Candace. Lo acabé devolviendo.

Purtroppo il punto debole di questo libro è proprio la storia: lunga e noiosa, pesante da leggere in inglese ad alta voce. I genitori di Baby flurry heart cercano di adormentare la piccola raccontando una storia: prima ci prova Shining Armor ma racconta una storia avventurosa ( la solita storia della pianta di fagioli) e la piccola resta sveglia, poi ci prova Cadence ma racconta una storia smielata e noiosa (ricorda biancaneve) e la piccola si distrae. Alla fine i due decidono di raccontare una storia unendo le loro due storie e proprio sul più bello la piccola si addormenta, così non sapremo mai come la storia riuscì a volgere a lieto fine. Le illustrazioni invece sono strepitose, valgono l'intero prezzo del libro: sono semplicemente incantevoli.

cute story, well put together book. My kid went insane for it, I had to read it to her in bed, then she spent the entire weekend reading it again and again.
