Read the entire book in one morning. I just couldn't stop. For so long I have yearned to understand the philosophy behind TCM. This book begins with the fundamentals, which I thought was really important because TCM and western medicine is dramatically different. I found it fascinating. After the fundamentals comes herbs. A wonderfuly detailed description. Then I was further surprised by the recipes for decoctions. Decoction? That was a new one for me. I immediately found a seller who had ALL the herbs and ordered them based on my needs. The book left me yearning for more. Kudos to Carrie who made the mystique behind an ancient tradition palatable for newcomers.
