Great watch, it’s a conversation starter!
Great watch! Don’t be scared by the moment you unscrew the stem for the first time, you might think is broken, but this is a military watch, not quite fancy or the best in class, specially if I have to point out some (minor) flaws: 1. Setting the date is a pain. 2. The bezel feels weird and Inpersonally find it odd the fact that the bezel doesn’t make any sounds, but again, it’s just me 3. The 24hr feature is great but can be confusing the first time you try to set up your watch. 4 the case lacks of brightness for the must part. It is a “brushed” stainless-steel finishing, but I feel this could be done better. Besides of what I previously mentioned, this is an exceptional watch. I saw many people complaining about the bracelet but I think is great quality and looks stunning. The luminol is beyond exceptional

Affordable, Rugged, and Uniquely 24 Hour Functional
The Vostok / Komandirskie 650541 is a budget friendly watch. It’s an automatic watch with both self-winding and manual winding capabilities, featuring a distinctive 24-hour dial housed in a 42mm stainless steel case. Water-resistant up to 200 meters, it weighs in at 143 grams. Pros: Solid build quality, unique 24-hour dial, reliable timekeeping. Cons: The crystal isn’t scratch-resistant, and setting the date involves an unusual back-and-forth adjustment around 24. The Vostok / Komandirskie 650541 offers impressive value for budget-conscious watch enthusiasts. With its rugged build, self-winding, and uncommon 24-hour dial, it stands out in its price range—despite a few quirks.

GREAT watch BUT it demands a little more of your time and patience than you might realize.
Right out the gate, I love my K-65. It's a gorgeous watch that draws questions or inquiries regularly. Currently, I'm using the orange nylon strap, but will be putting it on a stainless steel bracelet as soon as it arrives. The 24-hr dial is unique and intuitive to read, for the most part. the only time i've had trouble telling the time was a 2AM firecall in the pitch darkness. I've noticed that some people tend to complain about the movement in this watch, specifically with it not maintaining its wind overnight. I was ready to tear mine down and fix that potential problem BUT, based on the behavior of my K-65, Vostok may have fixed that particular "bug", as the watch will easilly keep accurate overnight with a day's wear. Obviously, if you skip a day, you'll need to set you time when before you wear it again. Welcome to the world of automatic winding watches. So, what about the stuff I mentioned in the title? The crystal is lucite. There are some very fascinating and awesome reasons (look it up, for real) why this is the case BUT this factor makes the watch a bit more delicate to cosmetic scrapes and scuffs while being worn. I recommend you just preemptively pick up a tube of Polywatch so you can buff out any scratches with little effort. The other thing is the crown and stem behavior. I don't mind the characteristically lose screwdown crown. I was ready for the alarming "wiggle" so it didn't spook me, but others that aren't in the know might assume their watch is broken the first time they unscrew the crown and pull the stem. Also, the date window is a big pain in the ass to manipulate, as you essentially have to swipe the hour hand back and forth between the 20 and 24 hour marks to increase it. Don't lose track of what you're doing during that activity, however, because, if you accidentally progress too far, you literally have to go all the way through the month to get to your preferred day. I wouldn't classify those items above as "problems" as much as "quirks" if that makes sense. I'd fully recommend the K-65 for anyone wanting to get into a lovely 24hr Vostok.

Be Patient With Shipping! "Politics" amirite!?
My old Komandirskie from the 80's has been long in the tooth for quite some time now (and beat to hell and back) so I decided to order this sharp 24hr version. Like I said, my only other Vostok was manufactured when The Pet Shop Boys was banging out hits, and it's still banging on- hell I just wore it on a trip to the other side of the country last week! Hello, Pet Shop Boys? Be like these watches! What I like- They're no-nonsense timepieces and built to last. Why bother with batteries!? This one is an automatic so wearing it will keep it wound, unlike my 80's model (mechanical). The movement is much more quiet than my older model as well. Date window? Also an upgrade from the old model! It's a very clean case design that wears well on any size wrist. Additionally I was pleasantly surprised with the thank you card w/ Soviet pin! Don't forget, it'll be 60 years this June since Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space!

Disappointed
I really wanted to love this watch, but two issues make it come up a little short. 1. The date is impossible to set. You have to wind the time to move forward to get it to the correct date. Which becomes a bit of an issue because of number two. 2. The power reserve is almost non existent. After wearing the watch all day at work (roughly 9 hours), it will run out of power within an hour or two after taking it off. So if you go several days between wears, this is where the first problem becomes a bit of a pain.

Stopped
Had it for 2 days and it just stopped ticking. Not much to say. Does not work. Exchanged it: I sent the first one in and revcieved a new one worked better kept on time, then stopped agian. I think I figured it out. It only works if it's right side up, since I wear it on the under side of my wrist it stops after an hour or 2. Really wanted to love this watch as it's the nicest watch I've ever recieved but it just doesn't work. Just going to stick with my 10 dollar watche, probably. Returning it again, for good this time.

This is a smart watch!

This watch the right size for a man and woman wrist. The 24 hr watch face will take time to get used to.the glass on the watch is easily scratched . I highly recommend it for anyone who works in a 24hr shift.
