Came on time, packaged nicely and dang sure gives ya more distance ...I was concerned the size wouldn't be worth the money but I was wrong

I bought this thinking it might be good for short range work and durable so I don't have a longer antenna banging around. It was cheap so why not. I put it on my GMRS radio (my UV-9G not the UV-5R in the picture) and tried to bounce a repeater and it hit it solidly. Then a net was starting later and I sometimes have trouble hearing it from my house. This was reliably receiving the signal, no I tried to check in with it and it worked great. It was actually beating my Nagoya GMRS antenna at receiving the net. I admit and acknowledge that my experience may be uncommon and I may not get that performance everywhere I go, but I am pretty impressed and I think for less than $10 shipped its worth a shot.

I have a wood shop / shed that is at the end of the yard. As a general rule I don't take a phone out there. I have a couple of cheap GMRS radios set up to lower power and these antennas. No reason for people on the other side of town knowing it's time for me to come in for dinner. Great for short range comms such as the situation I described. Also, I'm a bicycle rider and there is a repeater in range along my route. I can take a small radio with me in a small bike bag for an extra means of communications. The small antenna is perfect for this scenario. Cell service is spotty along my very rural route and worst case I could have someone relay a message to my family or EMS in a pinch.

This stubby antenna was a very convenient size, but did not offer any gain over the factory antenna.

Fast delivery. Good price. I also tested the SWR on the antennas and both were at 2.0 which is the best of 10 stub antennas that I have bought and tested.

The are counterfeit Just got off the phone with Diamond Antenna (very cool guys) And was asking them about the warranty for my broken antenna, that I used 3x before it broke and sent the attached pic. Was just told this is a fake and a rip off. Makes sense why it was so cheap and broke. Real ones look different, can easily see on their website.

Discreta por su tamaño. Producto de calidad. Es algo "sorda" en recepción, en transmisión la ROE es aceptable.

Doesn't work as well as the other versions of the SRH805S that I have. The gold section is plastic on this one, where it's brass on the others i have. Avoid.
