As someone who had never had crispy chili topping before I had zero expectations.I’m not someone who can handle super spicy so when I found this mild version, I was super excited. Also, considering I’ve never bought it before, the price seemed a little high for a sauce or topping, but I had heard such good things I went for it and I’m so glad I did! When I opened it, it smelled heavenly! A bit smoky, Savory, but not spicy. I made the mistake of dipping a fork and licking it, Not great. So don’t do that. But I was still willing to give it a try. After stirring it really well I Put some on top of a fried egg and had it for my breakfast. It was soooooooo good! I will probably never eat eggs without it again! It still has a bit of a kick if you are someone like me that doesn’t do spicy, But it wasn’t too much for me and I could definitely enjoy it. I also just made one of those viral cucumber recipes covered in a Thai peanut sauce and added a bit of this chili oil, and I think it’s my new favorite snack! I will 100% order this again!!

The product is good but putting mushrooms in it (umami flavor) distracts from the chili flavor. However, it did go well with eggs and I imagine any food that goes well with mushrooms but the mushroom flavor doesn't pair well with Mexican/Latino style or cuisine that typically use mushrooms. Wish they would make one with just garlic and or onions for flavor instead of mushrooms.

This stuff is so freaking delicious. I use it on almost everything. The flavor is wonderful

Very disappointed with this chili crisp for the following reasons: it comes in a plastic bottle which is absurd for such products; it is not spicy at all and actually doesn't have much flavor either; it has a slightly fishy taste although I was particular about checking ingredients to see if there was any fish sauce or shrimp paste or seaweed in it before buying! Hopefully that odd taste is not from the plastic leaching into it. I normally don't like wasting food items but might just throw this out since I have tried it a few times and I have had to add other hot sauces to compensate for this crappy product 😕

I really do not like this a lot. It is very mild and has a grainy taste. The one I had been using was much hotter and had a sesame seed taste.

I am not a fan of spicy, so I'm always hesitant to purchase things with peppers. I *LOVE* this stuff. I could probably eat it on anything. I don't know what the crunch is, but it is wonderful. There is just a subtle hint of heat that you feel at the back of your throat, but nothing that is impossible to do. I have had it on hamburgers, eggs, turkey, put it in a salad...Try it, I'm pretty sure you will like it.

This is called MILD and it holds up to that description. The jar has a *spice meter* on the side of 1 out of 5. It does have a bit of heat but not so much that your lips or mouth burn nor did I experience any unpleasant heat reactions such as my eyeballs sweating 😅! I used to like hot spiciness but can't take it anymore so I am very happy with this purchase. It is very flavorful, crunchy and addictive 😂. I put some on fried chicken wings (unseasoned and not breaded), on havarti cheese on pita crisps, and absolutely loved it! Then got brave and drizzled some on a bowl of immi noodles with duck meat and broccolini and OMG soooo tasty!!Even if you're not into heat, give this stuff a try, I promise you will not cry!!🥵
