I need to be able to hook up either awg 4 wire directly, or awg 4 with a terminal connector with a 5/16 hole; will this circuit breaker work?

This product seems to be the magnetic type per the seller website. Does this mean I can wire the line and load on either terminal?

I installed it as a replacement for the 30 amp 120vac output line from my motorhome Generac Generator a NP52G. Have about 25 hours of use on the this CB with heavy loads and had no problems.

dirction of current flow? can you hook it up either way?

As far as current flow is concerned, either way would be fine- your just interrupting the flow in the hot wire. Most breaker panels, however, require installation of the breaker in a specific way (matching other breakers etc).

is this the same as blue sea 34-20A that's in my panel?

Per the Blue Sea Systems catalog it appears to be a form-fit-function replacement. The manufacturer (Carling) extended part number is essentially the same.
