We Sell Mats Thick BiFolding Gymnastics Crash Landing Mat Pad

This is an EXCELLENT mat. Truly, we have three We Sell Mats products now and have been happy with all of them. We got the 4x8 size, 4" thick for under a standard size kip bar. The size couldn't be more perfect. At least the 4" thick one is halfway between a crash pad and a regular mat; it's not as squishy or thick as a full-on crash pad but it is less stiff/dense than a typical tumbling mat. It offers plenty of cushion to make this anxious mama feel comfortable about her practicing her back hip circles, but it's still just sturdy enough that she can land. It looks like it will hold up well, and is easy to wipe clean if need be. Gymnastics equipment is SO expensive and I looked at every possible option (including second-hand) and this hands-down was the best value. We also have two 4x6 tumbling mats (2" thick) from We Sell Mats, and they're great too! Just not as much cushioning as I'd have liked for under a bar.

So far this may is great. Nice and thick. Holds it's form and is sturdy. I love that it folds easily with two flat sides joining to make a rectangle rather than the larger square and has straps sewn in for moving it with ease and being able to store it off to the side. Highly recommend!

Shipping delays caused a great deal of stress! Caution with CEVA shipping. We Sell Mats is fantastic. Great quality mats, and when we called them directly they were helpful. Next time, I will order direct from We Sell Mats.

I'm using this for aerial arts (silks & hammock) and it's great! Ideally for silks something larger would be better, but my rig is only 11 feet at it's tallest, so I feel pretty secure with this under me. It has the perfect amount of cushioning you would expect for a crash mat. I've yet to take a hard fall on it, but I did land on my butt once from around 5 feet and hardly felt it. It's soft yet firm. I was pretty nervous about buying this as another review mentioned a fishy odor. A have an incredibly sensitive nose & I'm happy to report mine has no such odor. The only smell I noticed was a light plastic type smell, but even that was not too bothersome, and was gone in a few days.

I use this for my aerial silks practice. It’s a bit soft though which is good if you’re falling but not as good to stand on. I only use it when I’m practicing a new trick because of this. My rig 12feet. Generally I keep it folded so I have an 8 inch thick mat which is maybe not quite big enough always but I feel safe enough. I’m able to carry it on my back or roll it to where I need it to be with not much trouble. It fits in the back of my Subaru Outback but takes up most of the trunk. All in all id say good for the price.

We use this under our jungle gym and climbing rope. Durable, good firm cushioning. The kids love it.

Very substantial crash mat. I use for lyra hoop and aerial silk hammock. Absorbs force well and is still stable enough for dismounting. It’s also light enough I can easily carry it

I think the 4-inch landing pad is great. I use it as an added cush on top of the 8 Inch crash pad if I am wanting a little softer landing than the 8-inch pad provides. Not too soft but not too stiff. It has a solid build the only thing I would like to see is handles on the ends of the mat when they are open and not just on the sides. It would make it easier for the coach when adjusting mat positions.
